Jerome looked over at Mitch, Jerome couldn't believe he was becoming K.C. Mitch was muttering to himself, muttering things about his strategy to kill K.C. Jerome is scared of Mitch but he is his friend and Jerome didn't want to abandon him. Mitch looked over at Jerome to see him looking back. Jerome opened his mouth to say something but Mitch cut him off.
"You're ,you're afraid of me ,aren't you?" Mitch asked.
"Mitch, I am but I'm your friend. I will always love you like a bro."(or something else 😉) Jerome said.
Mitch looked back at the swords, closing off Jerome. Jerome watched him turn back, he sighed and got up. He walked over to Mitch and sat next to him. Mitch didn't look at Jerome but Jerome did. Mitch held tightly on to a hilt of a sword. His red eye scanning up and down the iron blade. Jerome thought of the right thing to say as Mitch thought to himself.
"Mitch, what if you become like him?" Jerome said uneasily.
"I-I have something in mind."
He's trying to hide something, Jerome thought. Mitch's grip on the sword faltered then he regained it.
"Mitch, what are you gonna do?" Jerome was pushing the answer out of him.
"I'm not gonna do anything." Mitch said.
"I know you're hiding something." Mitch's fuse was lit.
"I'm not ,just leave me alone."
"Biggums, come one." The fuse was halfway burnt.
"Jerome." Mitch didn't want to lose it.
"Mitch, tell me what are you gonna do." Jerome raised his voice.
"Jerome, please." Mitch's grip was tightening.
"Mitch tell me now." Jerome was now shouting.
Mitch's fuse was nearly at the end, but Mitch was holding back. He breathed in and out, trying to keep his temper in. Mitch, keep it in he thought. Jerome is now looking at Mitch furiously, but Mitch got up. He still held the sword a he walked over to the bed, Jerome following him. Jerome wanted to know what Mitch planned, he wanted to at least help.
"Mitch just tell me, I want to help." Jerome paced in front of Mitch, throwing his hands in the air in frustration.
Mitch looked down on the ground, hiding his eyes in his hair. Jerome looked at him in anger, which soon melted into disappointment. Jerome's head hung and he gave up on trying to help, he walked to the opposite side of the room from Mitch.
"Okay, fine. I'll leave you to think alone."Jerome said as he did so.
Mitch looked up to see his friend leaving him alone. He let out a sigh and he felt his eyes water. He wanted to help Jerome and everyone else, but he just can't tell him about the bet. Tears streamed silently down his face as he thought over his strategy. He thought of nothing, K.C. was too strong and fast for him. All he could think of is that K.C. loved fighting head on. The tears stopped flowing and began to dry up on his face. Mitch thought the only tactical thing to do is to fight head on, it could possibly surprise him. Mitch couldn't handle his situation, Jerome will die before him and his soul and everyone else's is on the line. How he could've put their souls on the line, now they could live an eternal demise.
"Jerome?" Mitch's voice surprised Jerome.
Jerome looked up to Mitch, he had a melancholy expression.
"Yeah ,Mitch?" Jerome kept his voice low.
"I'm- I'm sorry, for everything."
"Hey don't beat yourself up for what happened, blame K.C. Don't take it out on yourself."
"But I could've helped them, I could've saved Lachlan, Vikk, Preston, Rob." Mitch's voice started to crack.
Jerome's expression changed to remorse. He got up from his corner and walked to Mitch.
"Mitch, stop it. We couldn't have saved them if we could they would be here." Jerome sat next to Mitch.
Mitch didn't believe Jerome, he knew he could save them. Jerome comforted him telling him it isn't his fault, as Mitch pushed away the words. As Jerome comforted Mitch, K.C. stood directly behind the door. He had been listening to them for a while now and he felt nothing. His heart is a black pit and his mind ,an erupted volcano. He's been waiting for the perfect time to attack, he wanted to scare Jerome before killing him, that would be a good laugh. He had a new weapon at hand, a diamond axe, which had been used on people he always had a liking to. To him the axe represents respect, to the victims it meant instant death.
K.C. held the axe as tightly as Mitch held the sword. A smile creeped on to K.C.'s face making him impatient. He could hear footsteps now, both belonging to the Mitch and Jerome. He heard them grabbing food, it was a calm time for them now and it was K.C. time.
"Oh well, here's my cue." K.C. raised the axe above his head and aimed for the door.( He's breaking all the doors, no doors can be saved.)
"Well, I hope you had a nice stay Jerome." And K.C. struck down on the door, splitting it in two.
