The sun began to creep into the dark forest. I woke up to find that I was leaning against Abraxas's leg. Alagos's head still lay on my lap. His face in a peaceful slumber. His dream had gone away.

“Good morning.” Abraxas said. “He had another bad dream? A shame, really. He's had that same nightmare every night. Most nights he wallows in his sorrow alone. Its rare to find someone that cares about him so much.”

“I do care about him. I caused this to happen. Its my fault.”

“What fault is there, Rose? You never even existed when Alyania was killed. There is no one to blame, except for your father. I know that you are related to him but that does not mean you killed her. You had no part in this.”

“He still needs to forgive me. I know my father was terrible indeed but I am his blood after all.”

“Rose. He stopped killing because of you. He was married and had two children. You stopped his revenge. I think you are the only one who can stop Alagos from going mad. You've done it once.” I pondered what Abraxas said. I knew deep in my heart that I was the one that stopped Tel from revenge. It made me happy that he stopped his rampage.

“Even though my father killed Alyania, I still feel like its my fault. If that is the only way to prevent Alagos from going mad, then I will still believe it.”

“He will cling to you like a babe does to his mother. Rose, change him. Make him believe that there is love surrounding him. Make him believe not to live in the past but instead look to the future. That is what your father believed. Please, so many times I've tried myself but nothing works.” His yellow eye looked into mine. I saw an ocean of sadness and pain. I knew that dragons couldn't cry but I saw the sadness in it.

“I will, Abraxas. I will change him.”

“Thank you, Rose. I can already feel him starting to change. Time will tell I guess. Come we must go now. Alyania awaits us.”
