It was good to hear his voice. His comforting voice. I think it was true, about what he said. A few minutes later father had come back bearing a pack bulging with food.

“Make sure you check your wound. I made sure that it wouldn't fester. Here. Enough food for 5 days. I hope its enough.” His brown eyes looked sad. I knew he didn't want to leave me. I didn't want to leave him. “Rose.”

“Dad.” We both embraced. There is often a part of us that wishes that we never leave. We never leave the comforting hold of our parents. Me on the other hand, left their embrace long ago. “Safe travels.”

“Same goes to you.” Without another word, I walked outside in the pouring rain. I flipped my cloak up over my head and walked into the cold rain. I never looked back but I could feel the hard gaze of my father.

“My lady.” Abraxas said.

“Let's go. Quick and swift now. We have a long journey.” I looked behind me. Father smiled and waved through the glass house. I nodded my head in reply. With a bend of my knees I jumped to the top of Abraxas.

Goodbye Father. This may be goodbye for now. I'll miss you.

My flower. Always bloom.
