Chapter 3

*WARNING* If you're not into seeing your bias being killed then don't read bc I don't want complaints. Thank you. *WARNING*

After that kiss between Luhan and I, I felt really shy around him. Why did he even kiss me is the real question.

We all sat down at the Starbucks area in the store eating the food we found. "With all this food, we don't ever have to leave this place." Kyungsoo said while biting into a rib he had scavenged for earlier. "True. We can practically live here." Baekhyun said while smiling. I watched Luhan slurp some ramen, he stayed quiet for the whole dinner while everyone else chatted. I wanted to know what was on his mind. Will he let me in?

After eating, we all got our sleeping bags out and laid them on the floor, Chanyeol and Baekhyun wanted to "bunk" with me tonight. I looked at Tao who was smiling while looking up at Kris who was looking away from Tao, giving that cold guy vibe. Luhan was with Sehun, they were cuddling cutely.
"Alright guys, we wake up tomorrow and head out immediately after we wake up." Suho shouted as he laid on his sleeping bag.
Everyone mumbled goodnight to each other and I just couldn't help but activate that fangirl mind of mine.
All of us are in one room, sleeping together. Boy my friends would be so jealous, I thought happily than I remembered what happened and realized that my friends are probably gone too. I let out a loud sigh as I covered myself with the blanket.
"Luna are you okay?" I heard Chanyeol whisper to me.
"Yeah I'll be fine." I said forcing a smile even though he probably couldn't see it.
"You don't gotta lie to us, Luna." Baekhyun whispered from behind me.
All three of us sat up and looked at each other.
"I'm not lying. We really should get back to sleep." I told them.
Baekhyun rolled his eyes, "Luna you're a bad liar."
Chanyeol laughed quietly and nodded to agree with Baekhyun.
"Go have a Baekyeol moment will you please?" I said teasingly.
"Oh I think Luna is into those kind of fanfictions." Baekhyun said.
"Oh my gosh.." I turned red.
"She didn't deny it!" laughed Chanyeol.
I quickly hid my face in the pillows.
"Shut up you dorks. I'm trying to get my beauty sleep." Sehun shouted.

Chanyeol and Baekhyun quieted down and in no time I could hear their snores. I looked up at the ceiling thinking to myself.
Mom, Dad, Dylan, I miss you guys. Please come back from hiding. I want you to come back and hold me and tell me everything will be all right.
As I was lost in my thoughts, a loud banging rang in my ears that came from the door. I sat up and looked to see if the boys were awoken by the sound but they were still peacefully asleep. Another loud bang was heard which made me get off my bed. I had to see what was going on. I tiptoed through the cold marble floor, then got on top of a stool to see who was pounding on the door.

There was a mob outside the door, it looked like there was about 100 people and leading them was Jake. My heart felt like it stopped beating and I quickly ducked to evade them from seeing me.
"Bring out the grenades." Jake yelled.
Oh no..
I quickly ran back to the boys, "Wake up guys!" I yelled as I shook them.
"Why..?" Kris asked groggily.
"Jake is back." I trembled.

As soon as those frighting words escaped from my lips a loud explosion blew right in our ears and a crowd cheering for breaking through. The building has caught fire due to the grenade and finally the EXO boys got up. For once, Kris had a look of fear in his eyes. This was bad. Real bad.
I froze when I heard the sound of a chainsaw reving up and Jake say, "If you see anyone, kill them. I don't care who they are."
Tao ran to me, "Luna we don't have time to be standing out here."
He grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him.
"Where are the others?" I asked Tao when I realized it was just him and I running together.
"I lost them when the explosion happened. They panicked and went their ways but I went to look for you." Tao replied.
I couldn't help but smile when Tao said that.
"There's the exit!" I tell Tao as I point at the doors near the butchery.
We ran towards it and found Kai alone.
"I can't find Kyungsoo." Kai said, managing to stay calm.
"We haven't found the others either." I told him.
"You guys stay near the exit, I will look for the others." Tao said.
"No Tao I won't let you go alone!" I screamed.
"I'm not alone." he said smiling as he pulled out a large glistening blade out of his pants pocket.
"See you soon." Tao said and kissed my forehead and with that, Tao ran off back to the aisles.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" I asked Kai nervously.
"Of course, it's Tao." Kai reassured.
I smiled and was about to hug Kai when I heard a chainsaw rev up loudly and then slice through Kai's body.
Time stopped.
Kai was just smiling a moment ago.
Now his face was full of agony.
I screamed loudly, tears gushing out while doing so.
Kai's body was mutilated, blood squirted everywhere including on me and I collapsed on the floor as Kai fell over, his guts piling out.
"K-Kai..." was all I could say.
The man who killed Kai stood before me, chainsaw in hand and he revved it up again.
This is it.
It's my turn now.
My turn to die.
I closed my eyes, feeling the tears stream along my cheeks, I anticipated for the pain but nothing happened.
I heard a muffled yell and I looked up and saw Kyungsoo who strangled the man with a rope.
"Kyungsoo...?"
As soon as the man fell down, Kyungsoo fell onto his knees. His lips trembled at the sight of Kai's mutilated body but he didn't cry. Tao came back with everyone else. Suho was about to help me up but he saw Kai and looked away.
"We have to go now." Kris said since he knew Suho couldn't speak right now. He grabbed my hand and pulled me off the floor.
"Let's go, D.O." Kris said.
"Leave me alone with Kai, just for a bit." Kyungsoo said avoiding everyone's eyes.
I heard Chen puking in the background while the others refused to look at the sight.
"Not a chance." Kris said and he grabbed Kyungsoo, picking him off the floor.

We left the dreadful sight and escaped hell, once again but this time it got the best of us.

While walking the lonely streets of L.A., Tao came up to me.
"I'm really sorry I left. I feel like it's all my fault." he said lowly.
"Well its not.. I felt helpless watching it happen." I told Tao as I wiped a tear that escaped from my eye.
I looked at Kyungsoo who had his "Satansoo" face activated. There was so much anger behind that squishy face of his. Suho just kept rubbing Kyungsoo's back while the others just stayed quiet.

"Where are we going now?" Chen said, finally breaking the silence.
"Military base." Kris said then continued, "Once we get there, we'll get the proper help we need and then we take out Jake and his people."
Kyungsoo looked up at Kris, "I'm with you on that." he said while gritting his teeth.

We stopped at a mall we found, it looked abandoned so we went in to rest.
"If we split up, we go in groups okay?" Kris said.
"I don't want to lose anymore of you.." Suho managed to say.
Kris hugged Suho and comforted him as Suho began to cry once again.
I walked up to Luhan, "Can you come with me to a store so I can change my clothes?" I asked him while pointing to my clothes which were covered in blood.
Kai's blood.
I shivered at the thought of it.
Luhan just nodded.
We walked through the mall, looking for a store to get something nice. Fortunately for us, everything in the mall was still here.

I found something to put on.
"Keep watch while I change please, Lulu." I mumbled as I changed.
I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked like shit. I quickly got out of my clothes and put them in my bag.
Then I saw it, my dad's hand gun. It seemed to be teasing me.
Terrible thoughts rushed into my mind.
I could have saved him.
Kai could have made it.
No one wouldn't have suffered if I just shot the guy.
Kyungsoo would be happy.
I began to cry, holding the gun near my chest, cradling it like a child.
"Are you okay, Luna?" Luhan asked while knocking on my door.
"Y-yes.." was all I managed to say.
I unlocked the door to let Luhan in. His eyes widened when he saw me holding the gun.
"Where did you get that from?" he asked.
"It was my dad's... Luhan I could have saved him. If anyone knows about this, they'd hate me." I told him as I clutched into his shirt.
Luhan pulled me into his arms, caressing my hair and whispered in my ear, "No one is going to hate you or hurt you. Everything is going to be all right."

And with Luhan saying that, I felt like things would get better for us.
