The sound of police cars woke me up. I jumped up and almost bumped into Anna who was apperantly going to wake me.
"What's wrong?" I asked, confused about the fact that the police was here in the early morning.
"Come, look." Anna said while she pulled me towards the window in our dorm. The window had a view over the small square of the school where the students usually sit during lunch break if the weather is nice. The square is connected to the entrance of the school. Two police cars were parked there and police officers were asking questions and searching for evidence. The square was crowded with curious students, the teachers and principal North tried to calm everyone down.
"What happened?" I wondered out loud.
"I don't know. It doesn't seem like we'll get much information if we go there. Everyone is confused." Anna said, while she kept looking out of the window.
"We could try." I said. "Just let me change really quick."
I sprinted towards my room and I changed into my uniform. I let my hair out of the braid I put in last night. It was all messy now. I let my hair flow over my shoulders and on my back. It was nice and wavy. I put some mint chewing gum inside my mouth since there was no time to brush my teeth.
"Okay, Anna. Let's go." I said and I grabbed her arm. I ran out of the dorm.
"Let's take the elevator!" Anna panted.
"No! We'll be faster if we take the stairs." I exclaimed and I already went for the stairs.
"I'm not an athlete." Anna whined.
"Yeah, no kidding." I chuckled when I noticed her heavy breathing.
When we reached the small square Anna let herself fall on a bench. "I need a minute," She panted.
"Aren't you coming with me?" I asked.
"Go ahead, I'll catch up."
"I doubt that you'll 'catch up' but okay." I chuckled as I took one last glance at my sister who was exhausted from walking down the stairs. I wonder how she manages her P.E. classes. I turned around and walked towards the crowd.
"All the students need to come outside to line up! " I heard principal North's voice sounding through the intercom. I scanned the crowd and I found Astrid. I ran towards her.
"Hey! Do you know what happened?" I asked her once I reached her.
"The boogeymen gang was here last night, they want to count us to see if there are students missing." Astrid said. She seemed calm.
"Wait, they came this close to the school?" I asked.
"Apperantly they did. I hope nothings wrong." She sighed while she started to line up.
"I'm going to get my sister, I'll be right back." I said to Astrid as I started to walk back towards the bench.

Finally, after what seemed like decades, we were allowed to go back to our dorms. Lessons were cancelled and we were given a free day. We, however, weren't allowed to leave the schoolgrounds.
On my way back I saw Sandy. I looked behind me and I saw that Anna was chatting with Astrid and Ariel. I took the moment as my chance to talk to Sandy. I fastened my steps and I catched up with him.
