I was holding her soft hand in mine while we were sitting on a bench at the cemetery, she rested her head on my shoulder. It felt like the good times again.

"What are we going to do, Jack?" she asked, breaking the comfortable silence. Pulling us back into reality.

"I don't know, I have to go back there." I sighed.

"No, no you're not, you're not going back, are you?" She asked while she lifted her head up and looked in my eyes.

"Els, I don't have a choice. They'll hurt you if-"

"This is about you! I don't want to be the reason for you to live like you are living now." she said with concern in her voice. She sighed and stood up, she kicked a pebble out of her way and turned around to face me again. "We could...run away, there's nothing left. You're basically a prisoner and I'm...broke."

"What? No, we're not running. One thing I've learned from living on the streets is that you have to face your problems, running away will only create more problems. Besides, you shouldn't throw your future away. Finish your school, Elsa." I said while I stood up, walked towards her and held her hands in mine.

"B-But some problems can't be faced." she said.

"We'll figure something out." I whispered to her.

"All this figuring out takes way too long, your reputation as a criminal will only become worse!" She protested. I held her chin up and planted a soft kiss on her lips. As the stubborn person she is, she wanted to pull away at first but she eventually gave in. It was a short kiss but with a lot of meaning.

"I'm willing to fight for this, Els. I'm not going to take any easy ways out that might end up hurting people. We have to be careful but me being in that gang doesn't mean that we can't see eachother." I whispered while my forehead was against hers.

"Just..." she sighed.

"What?" I asked softly.

"Just be honest with me, I don't want to find out from the news whenever you do something stupid. Just tell me, I won't judge. I know you have to." she said.

"Els, I have never lied to you and I never will, okay? Don't believe everything the media says, they like to make things worse just to get a good story. I mean, I never robbed an old lady! I just ran past her and they caught that on video. Then they edited it and-"

"Jack, I believe you." she chuckled. "But you better not rob anyone."

"Oh, crap." she gasped in all of a sudden. "Totally forgot about Anna!"

"What about her?" I grinned, she was amusing to watch whenever things didn't go the way she planned it.

"I dropped her off at the mall for a coffee and that was, uh, maybe 2 hours ago? I'm such a terrible sister, I've got to go!" she started to talk really fast, made a lot of hand gestures and ran to the bench to get her bag. As I said, she is amusing to watch. She quickly gave me a peck on the lips and was about to take off when I quickly grabbed her wrist and turned her around.

"Can we meet up for coffee tomorrow?" I asked.

"Sure but what if the cops-"

"Jack Frost might not be able to go out but that doesn't mean Jackson Overland can't." I grinned mischievously.

"Smartass." she grinned and this time I kissed her.

We waved our goodbyes and ten minutes later I was walking away from the cemetery with the widest smile ever. That's not exactly how you're supposed to walk away from such a place but what can I say? I couldn't contain myself.
