FOURTEEN:
big secrets, small time.

ONE MONTH LATER. . .

KALI IS SITTING in her bathroom on the toilet seat. she had been pretty sick for the last couple of weeks and hadn't gotten her period like her app told her she would and she got worried. so she took kie to the drug store with her and grabbed a couple boxes of pregnancy tests.

when the two girls made it back to their house they went straight to kali's room and she took a test. it came back positive. kali took another one positive. she took all six tests and they were all positive. kie is sat in front of her looking at one of the test with tight lips.

"well at least you know who the father is.." she says and kali sighs before putting her head in her hands "what am i going to do..mom and dad will kill me." she says with tears welling up in her eyes. kie sits up "hey i'm sure everything will be fine.. just take it one thing at a time and hide it until you're ready to tell them." kali wipes a stray tear that falls from her eye.

with a sigh kali sits up and puts the tests under her sink. she goes into her room and grabs her purse "i gotta get to peterkins funeral.." she says looking at herself in the mirror. her eyes fall on her stomach and she rests her hands there. how was she going to tell Rafe?

he had tried to contact her over the past few weeks after the incident and she ignored him. rafe even came to her house which ended in a screaming match between the two and kali hasn't talked to him since. she was terrified of him and what scared her the most was, she couldn't stop loving him.

that was what kept her up at night. she hated herself and him for that. "kali let's go" anna says walking into kali's room. kali didn't realize that she was crying until she felt a tear fall from her eye "i'm coming.."

peterkin's funeral was hard for kali. all she could remember was peterkin telling her it wasn't her fault that rafe shot her and she knew that. it was rafe's actions that killed her. she let a few tears fall when she finally looked at the casket.

kali's eyes wondered and found rafe's cold ones. his eyes softened when he looked at her and kali couldn't take it. she walked off back to her car but heard footsteps following after her. as she thought, it was rafe she saw when she turned around "kali we need to talk" he said causing kali to sigh "yea we do.." he grabbed her hands "i'm sorry..for all of this. i should've never gotten you involved with any of it..."

kali looked in rafe's eyes looking for any type of lie and she saw none. that made her a little sad. she knew she couldn't be with him right now, but he's who she needed in the moment. "rafe i'm pregnant." she said cutting him off. rafe froze in his place and looked at kali "what" he says as kali looks at him with a sad and nervous smile.

"i'm pregnant and it's yours.." kali says with tears in her eyes. rafe looks at her speechless. she was thinking the worse things about his silence "you don't have to be involved if you're not ready..but i'm keeping it." he shakes his head "no i want to be involved i want you..it's just such bad timing.." he says scratching the back of his neck.

kali cups his face "i love you..i want you to do this with me.." she hesitates and sighs "..but you killed someone..i can't be with you until you tell the truth." she says as tears fall from her eyes. rafe shakes his head "kali please..i love you don't do this.." his eyes well up with tears and kali shakes her head "i can't.." she lets go of him and gets in her car. kali drives off crying softly but trying to keep it together, leaving rafe behind.

the rest of the day after the funeral was filled with kali rotting away in her bedroom while eating some snacks and watching her show. rafe had been blowing up her phone after she left him. kali didn't want to talk to rafe at the moment, she wanted to talk to sarah.

kali missed sarah more than the whole world could understand. she wanted her best friend to be there to hold her and tell her everything would be okay and to be the godmother of her baby. but she was dead. sarah was gone and kali didn't know how to handle it.

a knock on her room door shook her out of her thoughts and kali got up to see who was there. it was her little sister madison. "kali are you okay?" she said while looking to her older sister. kali nodded "i'm fine..why are you asking?" madison made a face that kali couldn't read "rafe is downstairs..and he said you guys really need to talk.." as madison spoke, kali ran her hands over her face.

with a sigh kali made her way downstairs after saying thank you to madison. her eyes met rafe's as she turned to face the couch. rafe stood up and kali just stood at the bottom of the stairs "what are you doing here.." she says and rafe walks over to her "i just uh..wanted to see the tests..and talk to you." he scratched the back of his neck.

kali sighed and turned around "let's go." she spoke before making her way up the stairs. rafe follows behind her like an anxious child. they reach her room and kali goes straight to her bathroom while rafe walks in and closes her door.

kali walks out of the bathroom with all six positive tests "all of them are positive.." she sits on her bed while rafe looks at the tests on her desk table. he sighs and sits on the chair. there's a moment of silence in the room before rafe looks to kali "how far along are you?" she shrugs her shoulders in response.

kali didn't think about that part. all she knew was that she was gonna have a baby. "i don't know..i just found out this morning." she said and rafe nodded "ok..are you keeping it?" kali looked to him as if he was crazy "yes i'm keeping rafe. i told you that at the funeral. i also don't wanna regret it and carry that regret with me for the rest of my life." she said honestly.

rafe sighed and looked to kali "ok..well i can schedule a doctor's appointment for you." she looked over to him "my parents don't know..how will that happen" she said with worry in her voice and rafe walked over to her "i'll handle it..you just worry about you and the baby." kali smiled softly at his words and let out a small "ok"

rafe kissed her forehead and then rested his on kali's. nothing in that moment mattered to kali. she didn't care about what happened in the past right now, all she cared about was rafe and their baby.

surpriseee!! Kali is pregnant..
When I tell yall I had this idea in my head for so long..then I watched season 4 and we found out that Sarah got pregnant? I was shocked. buttt lmk what you guys think of this! It �was kinda a filler to set up the tone for season two but yk at least I have a chapter ready for yall!! and don't forget to comment and vote for this chapter!!
