8 Years Ago in March
Kyle Madds has just moved to town, its his first day and he's quite nervous. He's not a shy guy but just worried how things will turn out. While 16 year old Michelle is sitting in English class, Mrs. Townsen comes in.
"Class we have a new student joining us today. Make him feel welcomed, this is Kyle Madds."
"Hey guys I'm Kyle..."
"You can sit next to Miss Reed, Kyle. Michelle raise your hand please."
Michelle raised her hand and gave Kyle a smile. Kyle looked at Michelle and a huge smile came to his face. She was really pretty, beautiful eyes and that heart-melting smile. Kyle walked over and sat down. Mrs. Townsen told the class to take out their Shakespeare books, they were gonna start reading Romeo and Juliet. Kyle looked around to see everyone with books, he felt to shy to ask for one so he leaned over to Michelle.
"Hey Michelle...would you mind if I read along with you?"
"No of course not." She gave him smile. "But why not just ask for one."
"I don't wanna seem like a bother and randomly interrupt class."
Michelle was happy to hear that. This guy had class, she liked that he was polite and like her he didn't like bothering people with problems that aren't theirs. And that's what started their friendship, they shared the book and bonded over how they couldn't stand the play.
"It's so stupid I mean you meet for one night and then your willing to die for them."
Michelle was cracking up over Kyle's rant. They were studying for their test when Kyle couldn't take anymore and started going on and on.
"Not to mention she's like 13! Would you marry at 13 after knowing the guy for a night?"
"NO! That's so stupid, honestly I mean come on. They spent one night together and then another night being married, and somehow they love each other so much they are willing to die for each other."
"Thank you! Someone who sees to reason."
"But hey you can't really judge its make believe."
"Uhhhh...no, don't say that. Even if its not real its still weird that he made it up."
"Don't say that Shakespeare is a genius, he's writing is amazing."
"Of course you would say that. You're a girl, you love his romantic stories...nahh."
"Hey! Don't be a bully."
Next they started throwing popcorn at each other, completely ignoring their books. Long story short, they failed their test the next day.
One Year Later
"Michelle Elizabeth Reed get down here!"
Michelle walked downstairs to see her mom dressed in some silk long black dress, pearls around her neck and hands on her hips. She had no clue what was going on, her parents were probably leaving for another diner party.
"Yes mother....?"
"Why aren't you dressed young lady?! We have to go now."
"First off technically I am dressed. And secondly what are you talking about.?"
"Uhhh the Johnson's dinner party. We're all invited, so come on you got 10 minutes to change so go."
Michelle slumped up the stairs, she really didn't want to go. A night with her parents and their friends, not how she wanted to spend her night. And it didn't turn out well. The Johnson's were nice people, they weren't the problem, it was her parents. The Johnson's asked Michelle what she planned to do after high school, her response was a shock to her parents. They had no clue she wanted to be a photographer, let alone had they known what school she planned to go to, or about the foreign studies program she got into. They looked like complete idiots in front of the Johnson's. And that what the Johnson's thought, some parents they were, didn't even know what their daughter wanted. It resulted on a fight back home.
