"As of tomorrow, your soulmates initials will appear tattooed on your wrist."

Agatha grunted in annoyance and switched off the TV. Soulmates? It was all bullshit. There's no such thing as true love. The only woman who she ever loved took her son away from her and then antagonized her for years, begging for forgiveness.

Her name was Rio.

Who meanwhile, she was simply smirking to herself as she heard the news announcement. She already had a feeling of what two letters would appear on her tomorrow.

And she wasn't wrong.

When Agatha woke up the next morning, she was greeted with two big letters on her wrist.

"R.V"

Agatha had barely regained consciousness, yet she began screaming at the top of her lungs anyway. She didn't want anyone's initials on there, let alone the ones that matched her ex wife's.

She got up and stormed into the bathroom, trying her best to wash it off by scrubbing soap and water, but it didn't even fade in the slightest.

She yelped as she heard a loud bang from downstairs, and what sounded like a heavy object falling. She crept her way down, and was tackled to the ground by another body.

She didn't even need to look up, she could already recognize her scent. Rio.

"Get off me, and get the hell out of my house!" She yelled, squirming beneath her, as the woman sat on her back.

"Look what I've got!" Rio grinned, moving her arm in front of Agatha's face.

"A.H"

"You're not my damn soulmate! None of that crap is even real!" Agatha growled, "Do you really believe all that propaganda the government is trying to shove down our throats?"

Rio laughed, almost scoffing, "Agatha, it isn't just a coincidence!"

"It has to be."

Rio huffed in annoyance, rolling her eyes. "So, we both just so happen to have each others initials on our wrists? The only people we've ever loved?"

Agatha shook her head, shoving Rio off of her as she rolled over, "None of this is real."

Rio sighed and sat cross legged in front of Agatha, but she was quickly cut off.

"Look at my front door!" She cried out, "that's the eighth time you've broken it!"

Rio laughed again, grinning, "It's just what has to be done."

Agatha scoffed, turning away, "We're still not soulmates."

"You know we are!"

Agatha stayed silent. Of course they were, she knew it, but she didn't want it to be true.

"Just... Let it be. It'll give you the peace of mind."

Agatha glared at Rio silently. She hesitated, and to Rio's surprise, pulled her into a sudden kiss. A sensation that neither of them had felt in a long, long time.

Rio pulled away, partially, "What the-" Agatha cut her off again, pressing her lips firmly to hers.

Agatha finally pulled away from her, panting slightly, Rio blushed, looking into her eyes, "I can never tell if you hate me or love me."

Agatha smirked, "A bit of both." She sighed, putting a strand of hair behind Rio's ear, "Soulmates are bullshit. But undeniably, those initials are mine." She pointed to her wrist.

Rio smiled, a real one, and nodded. "I know they are. You and I both know, that it's what was expected to happen."

"Take it easy." Agatha chuckled, shaking her head, then her expression turned serious. "I will never forgive you for what you did, though."

"Agatha, I gave you time. Something that no other person in the universe has had. What more could I have done?"

The witch shook her head, shrugging, "Just... I know, I know. I don't know how to feel." She frowned.

"It wasn't something I wanted to do either, but that's the consequence of a child being of Death."

Agatha paused, then leaned her forehead against Rio's. "Out of death, life."

She nodded, cupping Agatha's face, "I have always, always loved you, Agatha."

"... I have always loved you, too. And I will for the rest of eternity."
