YOU GENTLY TAPPED THE BRUSH AGAINST YOUR FACE as you blended out your concealer. today was a big day for you and your family. today was your mom and erwin's engagement party. it was a black and white gala. she invited all of her friends, your family, and your friends. that of course included eren.

you and eren were in a difficult spot. the last time you saw him he was crying in your arms. you had no idea what you were going to do when you saw him. you couldn't decide if you were going to ignore him or say something. that's only if he didn't say anything to you first.

you had to push all thoughts of eren out of your head. today was about celebrating your mom's new chapter of life, not eren. you continued doing your makeup a little faster than usual this time. you were running slightly behind so you had to rush everything you did.

after doing your usual makeup look you went into your room to put on your clothes. you carefully slipped on your black hourglass maxi dress and made sure not to rip it. the corset top accentuated your curves and made your body look flawless.

the dress paired with your braids in a messy but neat updo bun gave such class. you put on a pair of elegant gold hoop earrings, a gold necklace, and dainty gold bracelets. for heels you chose plain black heels since they weren't extremely visible.

you glanced at yourself in the mirror to check for any issues with your outfit or makeup. once you knew everything was perfect you grabbed your purse and left. the party started in an hour and it took about 45 minutes to get to the venue.

the drive to the venue was stressful. the traffic was hectic and everyone drove like they had no license. you avoided getting into a wreck five times at the minimum. once you made it to the event you took a moment to calm down.

as you walked in, the first thing you noticed was the beautiful and elegant decor. black curtains draped softly across the ceiling, a detailed gold chandelier hung right in the center, the tables were arranged perfectly, and everything tied together so neatly.

you spotted your friends sitting at their assigned table together towards the front. you were surprised everyone made it on time. even connie was here before you. sasha brought her boyfriend which was a nice surprise. mikasa sat in between sasha and armin and looked down at her phone.

"y/n, you look amazing!" sasha squealed as she brought you into a hug.

"thank you so much girl! so do you! i like this dress on you." you complimented her back.

"thanks, nic bought it." she said while sticking her tongue out. you playfully hit her on the shoulder then went to find a seat.

you looked around the table for an empty chair. since you were the last one you had only one choice, right across from eren. you didn't acknowledge his presence, but he had already noticed you. each time the door opened he looked up in hopes that it was you. when you finally arrived his entire mood lightened.

before the event, eren finally blocked his dad and decided not to be in contact. he was feeling mixed emotions and overall wasn't in a good state. but when he laid eyes on you, every problem went away. god, you looked so beautiful. he wanted to stare at you endlessly.
