It was the darkest and coldest of all winter nights and only Elizabeth's car was seen on the isolated streets of New York. Elizabeth Jackson was returning from her friend's party. She looked at her wristwatch. "Few more minutes to midnight," she said to herself. "I hope I reach home fast. I don't want to get lost in the middle of nowhere."

She was all alone, but not for long. Elizabeth could see light coming from behind through her rear mirror. The car was speeding up slowly. Elizabeth noticed a turn, and turned right to avoid the car. The car kept following her. Elizabeth sped up her car but she kept to the limits. However, the case was not the same with the other car. Elizabeth took another turn, the other driver wouldn't stop following her. As she was going further trying to avoid the car, she didn't realize that she had driven up to one of the loneliest places in New York.

The other driver wanted to stop too, but the brakes wouldn't work. And before she knew it, the car crashed into hers. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Elizabeth got out of the car. She noticed that the other man had already gotten out of the car and had run away. She grew very suspicious.

"Best night ever," Elizabeth sighed.

Luckily for Elizabeth, a cab was driving the same route. Elizabeth stopped the cab and asked for a ride home. The driver safely got her back home. "Thank you," she said, when they finally reached. After paying the driver, she walked towards the porch. She opened the door with her keys. She put down her belongings, changed and then went straight to bed.
