'GIVE OR LOSE'

'5 1 NY'

'LEAVE ON 1710 TOUR ST3PS or else...'

'CAR AT #DOUBLE-R'

"These are the weirdest notes I've ever seen!" exclaimed Elizabeth. "What do you think they mean?"

Henry replied, "We don't exactly know yet. We just think that the second note which says '5 1 NY' is a particular day in which the businessman, Mr David had to give away something. He didn't really, and then he began receiving many other dates."

Elizabeth thought for a while. Then, she said, "Is it weird when I say that 5th of January(the 1st month) was the same night when someone crashed into my car? And...wait..NY could stand for New York!"

Anna smiled and said, "I always knew you'd make a great detective." Elizabeth blushed. Henry said, "That could be right, Elizabeth."

Elizabeth looked at the notes. She looked at the fourth one. "What if," she added. "Both our cases are interlinked somehow? It says something about a car...that might mean the car that crashed into me..."

Anna laughed, "Whoa, whoa, you're saying that a guy from France is communicating with a guy from New York and sending weird notes to a rich guy? That sounds....terrific!"

Elizabeth smiled. "If only we know what the third note means. 'Leave on 1710 Tour Steps or else....or else what? What could 1710 Tour Steps mean? And what did or does Mr David need to leave?"

Henry laughed. "You're a smart sleuth, Elizabeth. But don't you think it's a bit late to do all this detective work? I mean, it's half past eight already. We must have our supper and go to bed. We'll figure the rest out in the morning."

Elizabeth couldn't help smiling. She felt a pat on the back. It was her cousin. "Well?" she asked. Elizabeth said, "You were right, Anna. This mystery work is rather exciting. But all this time, I have this weird feeling...what would happen if my mystery and Uncle Henry's mystery ARE interlinked, and the stranger who crashed into me the other night gets to know I'm in France? Could he be Jonathan Kenneth?"

"Maybe," said Anna. "Mrs Rodriguez said Jonathan was in France. And their house had the car. But I have this weird feeling that he's off the hook for now."

"I don't know for sure. If Jonathan is Mrs Rodriguez's brother, then why did his name appear on the police's directory?" Anna shrugged. "Hey," she said. "Don't look at me! You're the sleuth in this story."

Elizabeth smiled. "Come on, your dad's waiting for us."
