[Time to feed fluff moment with Rui to my children.]

Back at the infinite fortress, Y/N made her way through the sprawling halls, her heart heavy with the weight of her encounter with Muzan.

She couldn't shake the feeling of unease that clung to her like a second skin, the knowledge that the Demon King was always watching.

Like he was seeing everything at the back of her head.

As she turned a corner, Y/N spotted a familiar figure hunched over a table, his head in his hands, his shoulders shaking with quiet sobs.

Her heart clenched in her chest, a surge of protectiveness and worry boil inside her as she rushed to his side.
"Rui,"

Y/N called out, her voice soft and gentle as she approached him.
"Are you alright?"

The boy looked up, his eyes red-rimmed and tearful, his small face a mask of anguish anddespair.

"Mom," he whimpered, his voice choked with emotion as he launched himself into her arms, clinging to her like a lifeline.

Y/N wrapped her arms around him, holding him close, rocking him gently as she stroked his hair, murmuring words of comfort and reassurance.

"Shh, it's alright, little one. I'm here now. I've got you,"
she whispered, her heart breaking at the sight of his tears.

Rui looked up at her, his big, red and white eyes searching her face, as if was looking for a cover, a way to make himself feel secure.

"Did you miss me, Mom?"
he asked, his small voice trembling slightly.

Y/N held Rui close, feeling his small body tremble against hers as she gently rocked him in her arms.

She could feel the fear and uncertainty radiating off of him, the way he clung to her as if his life depended on it.

Her heart ached with the need to protect him, to shield him from the horrors.

"Why were you hiding, Rui?"
Y/N asked softly, her hand continuing to stroke his hair, trying to soothe the tremors that wracked his small frame.

"What made you feel so scared?"

Rui buried his face on Y/N's stomach, his tears soaking into the fabric of her Kimono as he clung to her tighter, as if he never wanted to let her go.

"I... I felt a dread feeling, Mom,"
He whimpered, his voice muffled against her skin.

"Like something bad was going to happen, something really really scary."

He pulled back slightly, just enough to look up at Y/N with those haunting, soulful eyes, the fear and uncertainty still etched into the delicate lines of his face.
"Then I remember when you told me about that feeling you felt and warn me about before that... that man with a scar on his forehead appear."
