A metallic thrumming echoed around a small barn-like room, the TARDIS slowly appearing. On another side of the building, The Master inhaled deeply, eyes widening slightly. He turned in his chair and faced a computer. "Better get to work." He said, a smirk falling on his face as he began to type.

Meanwhile the TARDIS door opened to reveal a hesitant Wilfrid, the cautious Doctor and an intrigued Kayla. "We've moved! We've really moved!" Wilfrid gasped, looking around as The Doctor searched behind the TARDIS. "You should stay here." The Doctor commented as Wilfrid scoffed loudly. "Not bloody likely." He retorted as The Doctor huffed at him. "And don't swear."

He got out his TARDIS key and pressed down a button on it, a soft high-pitched note filling the room as the TARDIS suddenly disappeared. "Why did we have to do that?" Kayla asked as The Doctor looked to her. "Don't want the Master finding the TARDIS, that's the last thing we need." He explained as they began to exit the door and follow the hurrying Doctor outside.

They clung to the edge of the building, running along the side to find an opening. When they found one, however, two guards were passing at the other side of it. In their rush they had ran straight through it, only to rush back to the wall when they caught sight of the guards.

"That book said he was a billionaire. He has his own private army." Kayla told them as The Doctor looked over the corner, watching the guards pass. "How did you know that?" Wilfrid asked Kayla making her smile at him. "I read it on our way here." She relied simply as The Doctor turned back to them. "Down here." He said, slightly out of breath and ran over into the opening, sonicing a door quickly with his screwdriver. Kayla immediately followed him, but Wilfrid was a little more reluctant and stayed where he was until The Doctor had opened the door. They all ran in, and Wilfrid closed it just as the same two guards passed.

Meanwhile The Master was getting along well with his work, completely focused on what he was doing. "Miss Addams, we're getting some encouraging results from the ratio-foldback." The man, who is not a man, said through the speaker, surprised. "The man's a miracle. All the systems are slotting back into place." The women from earlier said, amazed. "The shatterthreads have harmonised and the multiple overshots have triplicated."

"Nice gate!"

The women whipped around to find The Doctor, Kayla and Wilfrid. "Hello!" Kayla grinned as Wilfrid muttered a 'sorry'. "Don't call security, or I'll tell them you're wearing a Shimmer. Cause I reckon anyone wearing a Shimmer doesn't want the Shimmer to be noticed." The Doctor said to her smartly, making Kayla laugh quietly to herself.

"I'm sorry... What's a shimmer?" The women said nervously, twirling her hands. The Doctor pointed his screwdriver at the women and pressed down. "Shimmer!" He said as the women turned completely green with spikes coming out of her skin. She groaned and closed her eyes at being caught. "Oh my lord she's a cactus!" Wilfrid gasped, making Kayla snicker a few times. "Don't be rude Wilfrid." Kayla said to him as the 'women' glared at Wilfrid.

"Miss Addams? Miss Addams?" The man asked into the speaker, before turning around sharply. "If you'll just excuse me." He said quickly, worry frowning his face. "Now." Joshua Naismith started, clapping his hands together. "Please don't imagine I'm a slave-driver. We can resume work on Boxing Day, Mr Saxon." He said, as The Master looked to him. "My name... Is The Master." He said, pressing down a button on the keyboard. Red lit the screen, and the building began to get darker as the light went off. The Master had his arms above his shoulders, resting his head on them in a relaxed state, smiling.

The gate fired up, the shield completely working. "Oh. Excellent." Naismith hardly said, impressed. "Excellent!" He exclaimed, grinning. "Mr Danes?" Naismith said as Mr Danes looked to the guards. "The visitor will be restrained." He said as The Master looked confused. "What? But I repaired it." He said, an accent seeping through. "I'm not an idiot!" Naismith harshly said to The Master, turning back to the field. "Don't let him anywhere near that thing." Naismith said, holding his daughter close and both grinning madly at the working gate.
