Alyssa almost walks in, but Krissy pulls her back outside.
"Dude, what are you doing?" Alyssa asks. Krissy just points to a sign.
YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO BUY.
"Oh, come on!" Alyssa says.
"It doesn't matter, anyway. We need the stuff under it!" Emilie tells her. Alyssa nods in understanding.
"So what's the plan?" She asks.
"We could break in, and demand to dig under their store!" Tyler says. We blink, silent. Then Tyler starts laughing.
"Ooorrr, we could just have Delphi try to find the, what was it again, Kellie?" Krissy asks.
"Weapons of Light." She answers.
"Right. The Weapons of Light with her mind."
"That is a much better plan." Tyler says, still giggling. I smile too. Tyler always knows how to cheer people up.
"Alright, I'll try." I tell them. I close my eyes, trying to feel for anything out of the ordinary, besides the dirt. But I find nothing.
"Sorry." I say, after opening up my eyes.
"Try again, Sun, we're counting on you. You can do this." Alyssa tells me.
"Okay," I say, meekly. I close my eyes again, and look deeper. The farther I go, the more my head starts to pound. And once I feel like my head is about to explode, I find them. They're separated by a foot of dirt.
"Found," Is all I can say without hurling. I try to pull, but it's too hard. It's too heavy for me. And then I feel cold metal on my skin. Someone has just put their necklace on me. The feeling is weird and unnatural on me, but it helps. But it's just not enough. My head starts to hurt even more, and I cry out and fall to the ground.
I can barely hear the voices of my friends, can barely feel all 7 of the amulets on my skin. I can only feel the pain.
Slowly, the weapons start to dig up, they start to come up, towards me. They almost come out of the ground, but they're still a feet away.
Then there is the unmistakable sound of a clink on metal. Someone else has put their amulet on me. And the ground starts to rumble, it shakes, like an earthquake. I open my eyes, trying to see who this person is, but all I see are blurry shapes.
I think my mind is playing tricks on me, because suddenly, I see Alicia.
Alicia's back, I think.
Out of the corner of my eye, the owner of YE OLDE WEAPONRY runs out, and is so frantic that he doesn't see us sitting down next to his shop.
The ground cracks in half, coming from the building and stopping at my feet. Then the weapons poke out of the ground, and pretty much into my face.
"You're welcome," I hear Gavin's low voice say. Then I hear the distinct voices of my friends bickering.
The only thing left for me to do is sleep.
I'm so tired.
I fall, fall, fall.
Into nothing.
