Today is the first day of school, and I'm so excited. I'm quite the nerd so anything to do with school excites me. School doesn't start till 7:00 and it's 5:30 now.

"Eehh." I groaned. "That's to long to wait."

"What are you talking about Blake?" Liz asked walking into the kitchen. (I've been living with Liz, Patty, and Kid.)

"School. It's 5:30 and school doesn't start for another hour and a half, and I'm all ready to go!" I whined.

"Wow you must really like school!" Patty shouted as she ran up behind me. I jumped.

"My God Patty! You scared the death out of me!"

"Sorry Blake," she apologized shrugging.

"What's all the noise for?" Kid complained walking into the kitchen.

"Blake's excited for school but is sad it's not time to leave, Patty scared her, and then Blake flipped out," Liz explained in order.

"Sorry," I sighed.

"No it's fine. Patty scares everyone," Kid said.

"Yay! I'm scarey! Hahaha!" Patty yelled throwing her hands in the air. Liz just sighed.

"So what do you guys want for breakfast?" I asked.

"I want pancakes!" Patty yelled.

"On it."

I made breakfast and we all ate.

"Thanks Blake. That was great," Kid said.

"Yeah really. These were amazing," added Liz.

"Blake your really good," said Patty, patting her stomach.

"Thanks guys. It means alot," I said smiling.

A little while later we headed for school. When we got to the giant stairs my heart started beating faster. A huge smile crossed my face.

"Come on guys!" I said waving them torward the stairs. The stairs seemed to go on forever, but I loved the feeling of heading up those stairs for the first time.

I remember when I was in that cell for only a year I thought that I'd never be let go, but here I am. I won't go back to that lonely cell. Only Lord Death would talk to me. Sometimes Professor Stein would come to give me a regular check up, and to make sure the black blood in my body wasn't consuming me.

I reached the top of the stairs and stared at the building. It's been awhile since I've been here or at least it feels that way. It's actually only been a week.

"What do you think Blake?" Kid asked as him, Liz, and Patty stood beside me.

"It's beautiful," I told him. The building was just beautiful and the symmetry was perfect.

Just then I heard a faint voice. I looked up and saw a boy standing on the edge of one of the spikes coming of the DWMA.

"Who's that?" I asked.

"That's Black Star. He's probably ranting about how he's going to be the one to surpass God again," Liz explained to me.

"He's crazy!" Patty laughed hysterically.

"BLACK STAR STOP! YOUR GOING TO BREAK IT AGAIN!" Kid yelled at him. He started stomping over in Black Stars direction, probably to yell at him some more.

I looked away for less than a minute and began to here a cracking sound. After came a huge bang.

"BLACK STAR WHY DO YOU DO THIS EVERY YEAR!" Kid yelled pointing to the broken, red spike in the front of the school.
