I am in our bed, with a bag of ice water on my forehead. Peeta is sitting next to me, sketching a picture into the plant book that my father started to make before he died in the mine accident. Me and Peeta worked on it before we went into the Quarter Quell arena. That was almost 10 years ago and we have changed drastically. Mostly because of the rebellion. Peeta still has flashbacks, but they are becoming less scary. Sometimes I have to go in a room and lock the door when it becomes bad enough that he could hurt me. Every time that the flashback stops he starts apologizing, even though I constantly tell him this isn't his fault.
I groan. Peeta turns his head, and then strokes my hair off my face.
"You're awake. You've been out for almost an hour."
The baby kicks and I yelp a little.
"Are you okay?" Peeta asks calmly.
"Yeah, I'm fine. The baby's kicking though, if you want to feel." I try at a smile.
Peeta gently places his hand on my stomach.
"We're going to be parents in two months Katniss! Can you believe that?" Peeta says, with tears in his eyes.
He is going to be a great father to our child.
