Ch 3: Visitor

My friend Gale is coming to visit from District 2. Peeta says that Gale can stay in his old Victor's Village house.
"Gale!", I exclaim when I open the door for him, "it's been so long!" I give him a hug and then let him come inside.
"Oh Katniss, I've missed you." He gives me a quick peck on the cheek.
"Hey Gale." Peeta says, halfway punching Gale's shoulder.
"Hi Peeta." Gale replies.
"Peeta? Me and Gale are going to the woods so we can catch up." I say.
"Okay. Come back in a little while."
Me and Gale are walking out when Gale says,"Hang on a sec."
He walks back to the house, leaves the door cracked and peeks in. I can't help but overhear a whisper coming from Gale.
"Thanks for taking care of her."
"Always." says Peeta.
The whispering stops and Gale comes out and walks alongside me and stays quiet the rest of the way to the woods.
