"Akhir khatam hua nau mahino ka intezar,
Aa hi gaya vo pal, jiske liye the hum bekaraar,
Do nanhi kilkariya gujengi is ghar me,
Aur bayaan karengi humara pyaar"

After the godh bharai ceremony concluded, Rudraksh gently led Ruhanika back to their room, a space that now felt even more intimate and warm. The room was beautifully decorated, but what made it truly special were the photo frames that adorned the walls and shelves, each one a memory frozen in time. Their couple pictures, full of love, laughter, and shared dreams, filled the space with their presence.
Originally, Ruhanika had insisted on putting up only Rudraksh's pictures, playfully declaring that she wanted their baby to look just like him. But Rudraksh, with the same soft stubbornness she loved, had countered her wish, saying he'd rather have a baby just like her, kind, beautiful, and full of light. In the end, they both gave in and settled on their favorite couple photographs, deciding that the baby should grow up surrounded by the love they shared.
Rudraksh helped her carefully out of her saree and into something more comfortable, his oversized shirt paired with leggings, her usual go-to attire these days. He handled her with such gentleness, almost reverently, knowing how exhausted and overwhelmed she must have been after all the rituals and attention.
Once she was changed, he helped her lie down on the bed, arranging the pillows around her just the way she liked. Then, he went to change out of his own traditional attire. When he returned, however, his heart clenched slightly at the sight before him, Ruhanika was tossing and turning gently, clearly struggling to find a comfortable position. Her bump, more pronounced now because of the twins, made even simple movements a task.
Without wasting a second, Rudraksh crossed the room and lay down beside her. He scooped her close, guiding her head to rest gently on his bicep, which she always found the most comfortable. His other arm slipped around her, hand coming to rest on her baby bump. He began caressing it slowly, his touch warm, loving, and full of wonder. Ruhanika let out a small sigh, finally relaxing in his embrace.
As Rudraksh watched Ruhanika finally relax in his arms and drift into a peaceful sleep, a tender smile lingered on his lips. Her breathing softened, her body nestled perfectly against his, and the room was enveloped in a calm silence that only love could create. His own eyelids grew heavy, the warmth of the moment pulling him toward sleep.
Just as he began to surrender to slumber, a subtle yet distinct sensation pulled him back. His eyes fluttered open, and then widened in surprise. He had felt something, gentle, like a flutter, but unmistakably real. He held his breath and waited, heart pounding in anticipation.
And there it was again.
His gaze immediately dropped to Ruhanika's baby bump. His heart stilled for a second and then overflowed, his babies were kicking. The tiniest, most beautiful confirmation of life inside her. His throat tightened as his eyes turned moist, overwhelmed by the purity of the moment.
He instinctively reached for Ruhanika's hand, gently lifting it and placing it on her belly, right where he felt the little movement. Almost as if responding to her touch, there was another soft kick. Ruhanika stirred slightly, brows furrowing in sleep, before her eyes blinked open slowly.
Ruhanika: "Akshhh, ye kya h... Kaisi halchal hai"
(Akshhh, what is this... what's going on)
Still in a slightly sleepy state, Ruhanika asked her question with a soft voice. Rudraksh smiled warmly at her, leaned in, and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
