What Should Have Been

Chapter 2

-Lily-
I was in shock. Did he really say Harry Potter?

James asked before I could.

"Did you say Harry Potter?" He shock his head with a confused look on his face. The same look James gets.

I tried to stop myself. I really did.

But it didn't work. I flung myself at him and wrapped him in a hug.

I started crying again. He patted my back awkwardly. I was proud that he didn't push me away.

Finally, James pulled me off.

I turned around and cried into James' cheats. He just stroked my back.

"Is it really you?" I asked. Terrified that this was some horrible joke.

"Yes. My name is Harry James Potter."

"Hello Harry. My name, is Lily Potter. Also known as Lily Evans."

A look of pure shock crossed his face as I said this. But he quickly embraced me back. But I could sense a resistance from him.

I was so happy.

We eventually pulled apart and I saw tears in his eyes.

I wiped them away a said,"My sweet little boy."

Hey guys. Sorry it's so short. I just needed this out there. It's only like 200 words. Oops. School does start up soon so just be patient with me. Also, I'm kind of running short on ideas so maybe inspiration will strike soon? Hopefully. Thanks guys. You rock.
