ch-36 Aafiya's angry side

Next day

Aaban's pov

By the silence of the mansion i could already guess that everyone is still asleep. I mean it's not a wrong thing after the tiring event of yesterdays.

The birthday function of aafiya went really good and I was feeling really overwhelmed after seeing the Happy face of my sister.

I walked through the corridor and reached her room. It's 10:00 and I assume she must be asleep too. But when I entered her room she was sitting on the bed and was engrossed in reading a novel not even noticing my presence.

Uff, her and her love for novels. I cleared my throat to get her attention which I did get as she looked at me and sat straight closing the book.

Aafiya- assalamualaikum. She greeted softly and moved aside a little gesturing me to sit beside her. I moved further and sat beside her.

Aaban- Walaikumussalam bacha, why are you awake so early? Everyone is literally sleeping because tiredness.

Aafiya- i-i actually didn't sleep well. She said nervously making me confuse.

Aaban- what do you mean?

Aafiya- nothing. I slept but then my sleep broke at 6 in the morning. She said and I nodded still not believing her words, something was definitely wrong. But it hurts to know that she doesn't trust me enough to share her problems. (Sigh) It's ok, soon everything will be ok.

Aaban- so what are you reading? I asked to keep the conversation going, i hated when she didn't talk to me before, so now no risk.

Aafiya- a fantasy book. She said.

Aaban- ohh, can I read it too.

Aafiya- no! She said making me startled a little.

Aaban- but why? You and saad read your novels literally together.

Aafiya- that's because we love reading novels and only we would understand it.

Aaban- seriously? I asked offended. Fine your wish. I said and she ruffled my hair seeing the frown on my face.

Aafiya- you are cute. She said with a wide grin.

Aaban- no I am not!

Aafiya- yes you are!

Aaban- I am not!

Aafiya- you are!

Aaban- I am not!

Aafiya- you are not!

Aaban- yes I am! I said frustrated while she giggled on her victory. Cheater! I muttered jokingly as she kept smiling now. I am happy I was able to do that.

Aafiya- i actually wanted to ask you something bhaiyya. She said and i nodded with a small smile. I feel like I am on cloud nine everytime she says bhaiyya to me, a luxury aadil has not recieved yet. Ha! Unlucky.

Aaban- what is it? I asked a little seriously now.

Aafiya- you know how shoaib bhai behaves with ayesha right. I mean he does it with all his cousin sisters as ayesha said. But he didn't actually behave rude and cold with me, even though I am ayesha's bestfriend and your sister.

She said and i sighed. Well it's true that i threatened my bestfriend to act nice with my sister but he went a little too far with his amazing acting.

Aaban- so?
