ch-49 Turmoil and moments

Aafiya walked inside the mansion with anger visible on her face. Her steps were quick and heavy as she walked towards the stairs but then a voice stopped her making her snap her head to look at the person.

Zayan- assalamualaikum aafiya. He greeted cheerfully.

Aafiya- walaikumassalam. She said curtly and turned towards the stairs again ready to leave but zayan didn't want that.

Zayan- woah sis why so eager to leave? He asked casually but poor boy didn't know that he just angered his sister more than she already was.

Aafiya- well let me answer your question logically. I just came from the college so obviously I must be tried right! So what do you think a person does when he or she returns home being tired and wanting to rest in their room!?

She asked while keeping her tone in check so that she doesn't snap at her elder brother while zayan just blinked hearing her words.

Zayan- yeah I mean obviously you must rest. But you kinda look angry.

Aafiya- yes. But I am not "kinda" angry, I am actually angry. She replied making him frown.

Zayan- so can I know the reason behind your anger? He asked curiously but before she could answer, her eyes fell on hamza who just entered the mansion.

Aafiya- why don't you ask him, I am sure he'll know. She said making him confused.

Zayan- him? He said and turned around to see where aafiya was looking only to find hamza coming towards them while aafiya just left without saying anything.

Hamza- assalamualaikum. He greeted and looked at aafiya's retreating figure with longing.

Zayan- walaikumassalam. Bro what happened to your face? Did you had a fight hamza? He asked a little sternly.

Hamza- not really. He said with a sigh.

Zayan- what kind of answer is that? He asked.

Hamza- it's just hannan punched me. But i didn't punch him back. He said and the frown returned back on zayan's face.

Zayan- he punched you? How dare he? And why didn't you punched him back!? He asked and hamza looked at him as if he was seeing an alien. Didn't he just asked him sternly if he had a fight?

Hamza- bhai, it's not his fault. I hid something from him which was related to him and today he got to know about it. So he just got angry and punched me. He said gently making zayan shook his head.

Zayan- why did you hide it in the first place?

Hamza- because I was scared and worried about something.

Zayan- what is it though? He asked hoping to get some tea.

Hamza- yeah nice try. He said looking at him with a done face while zayan huffed.

Zayan- is it related to aafiya though? Is it the same reason why she is angry? He asked making hamza sad.

Hamza- yeah... He whispered feeling sad. Zayan just kept a reassuring hand on his shoulder making hamza tear up a little.

Zayan- hey hamza, don't lose hope, everything will be fine soon. He said noticing the tears in his eyes.

For a while he was mad at hamza too but then he realised that if everyone stays angry on him then who will he lean on to. No matter what he can't just keep ignoring his baby brother, just like he couldn't ignore aafiya before too.
