Author's pov

The door to aafiya's room opened revealing hamza with a nervous expression on his face. Aafiya went stiff for a second but then looked away. She didn't have any energy to argue with him for whatever reason he is here. So she choose silence for now.

Hamza- aafiya, can I come inside. He asked hesitantly, still standing near the door.

Aafiya- you are already in sir. She said still looking away while hamza just blinked at her response. Well she was right though. He walked inside with slow and steady steps and stood near her bed, because he was not sure he should sit or not.

Hamza- i-i wanted to talk to you about something aafiya. He said and she sighed.

Aafiya- but I don't want to. She replied a little coldly.

Hamza- please... I won't take much time. He tried to convince her. He didn't want to force to talk, but communication is the key, and to do that he has to talk to her no matter what. Untill she agrees offcourse.

Aafiya- If it's about us then I don't want to talk sir. She said still not looking at him while hamza felt an ach in his heart hearing her "sir" again and again. He also noticed how she was avoiding to look at him, and that just worsened the ach.

Hamza- please aafiy- He stopped as his voice cracked. It's pathetic to feel like crying at this moment right?

Because wasn't he the one who hurt her the most, and now he's just receiving his karma. Then why are his emotions in no control? Does he even deserve to cry after what he did? He was feeling nothing but helpless right now. And that feeling was taking a toll on him.

Aafiya's head snapped towards him when she heard the crack in his voice. Something in her had an urge to give in and give him a little comfort. But her mind stopped her again like everytime. Because just by his face it still reminds her of the every pain he caused her.

However, she couldn't fully ignore his tears. That's how she is. Probably because there's still some care left in her for him. So she sighed softly and looked at him who was trying to control his tears and emotions.

Aafiya- baith jaiye sir. She said making him still for a second. Did she really offered him to sit? But as he saw her frowning at him probably because of his stillness, he quickly sat on her study tables chair.

Hamza- Aafiya whatever happened today was just a small fight between me and hannan. He started speaking softly.

Aafiya- are you here to talk in your bestfriends defence? She asked already not liking the start of the conversation.

Hamza- no no aafiya, I am just here to tell you the truth. He said quickly afraid she would misunderstood everything.

Aafiya- aap kabse sach bolne lage, sir? (From when did you start telling the truth, sir) She asked narrowing her eyes at him while he felt a little ashamed by her words. Because it's true he would lie about her to their brothers making more trouble for her when they were still kids.

She still remembers every damn wrong actions he took against her and that's just making him drown in another wave of guilt.

Hamza- from the time I realised how wrong I was. He said slowly while aafiya just stayed silent. After a second hamza continued speaking looking at her. Hannan was not at fault aafiya. And I am not defending him, because that's the truth. We fought because of our own thing. He didn't tell me anything related to that matter. But because he punched me because of our own conflict, you thought he punched me because of the conversation you had with him.
