part 29. papa

The group of eight people was engulfed in the chatters, there were random discussions going on from something to nothing.

Felix's phone rang, making his attention divert from the group to the device. The name 'dad💖' flashed on the device. Felix frowned and looked up at the guys as he got up "sorry, dad's call" he excused himself and went to the kitchen to attend the call.

"Hello, dad?" He greeted in questioning manner

"Felix.... You papa is in hospital" that was the first thing spoken by his father while made his mind go numb for seconds as he hastily replied.

"H-how... Whe- what happened to him?" He felt his throat clogging up because of the uncalled tears "no one knows Felix... I don't know, he went to the bathroom and then- and then-"

"Calm down dad, you have to tell me what happened..."

"We were hanging out and just then he went to the bathroom, he took too much time so i became worried and went to check on him. He was there, laying unconscious" Jungkook narrated it all to Felix.

"I'm coming there" that was all said by Felix as he hung up and hurriedly went in the living room.

"What happened Felix?"

"Why are you crying?" And various worried remarks were made as they saw the state in which Felix currently was but Felix's eyes remained on his older brother

"Papa is in hospital" he said and the room became quiet. Minho got up from his place with blank face but emotion filled eyes, silently asking to Felix if he was speaking the truth, Felix just nodded at that as more tears fell along with Felix as his knees gave up on him.

"We have to go" Minho spoke.

"I'll book the next flight for us, it boards after three hours" Bangchan said as his hand flew through his phone to book the plane tickets for eight of them.

Everyone comforted Felix and Minho, knowing that despite not bonded by blood, their bond with their parents was even more special and pure like they were their real parents.

Packing their bags along with their estimates of exploring the city, the eight boys began to return to Korea the same day as they arrived. The atmosphere was filled with silence and tension along with occasional comforting words provided to the Lee brothers which made Felix tear up even when he tried to hold it in.

"Hey, don't worry. Nothing will happen to your father. You should get some rest, the journey will be long" Hyunjin said as he gave a soothing peck on Felix's forehead

Upon reaching to Korea, the boys rushed their way to the hospital in which Taehyung was admitted.

"Kim Taehyung" Minho said to the receptionist "first room from left" the receptionist stated as the boys didn't waste another second and rushed in the hospital room where Taehyung was in.

Felix gasped as new batch of tears escaped from his eyes when he saw his father in such state. Transparent tubes connected to his body, an indicator placed beside him which beeped, indicating his steady heartbeat while he layed weakly on the hospital bed. Just yesterday the same person looked so full of life when Felix called him, and now?

Making his way to his father, his knees gave up again as they wobbled. His shaky hand held on his father's hand as he sobbed loudly

"Papa.... Wake up please" he pleaded while sobbing. Minho slowly made his way to his father too and took in a big breath "who did this, dad?" He asked as his gaze moved onto Jungkook who motionlessly sat on the couch.

"I don't know Minho.... I don't know" his voice seemed so weak like he would be shattered into peices if his husband doesn't wakeup now.

Just then, the nurse entered the hospital room "please don't crowd the room. Mr. Jeon, I have to say something to you" everyone took the cue and left, Hyunjin forced Felix to get out of the room as the boy still sobbed.

After few minutes, Jungkook came out of the room as Felix and Minho jolyed up from their seats to know what the nurse spoke "she said that he was drugged, overdosed upon that. He would wake up soon but would need bedrest for few days because of the effect of the drug. If I was even a minute late then...." Jungkook trailed off and looked down as tears filled his eyes.

Felix just hugged him tightly and Jungkook hugged him back, caressing his hair with one hand "you saved him, dad. You saved papa" he said.

"But why him?" Jungkook asked "he dosent even have any enemies" he added "you don't have to worry on that, dad. I'll work on finding who this is" Minho spoke "not just you, we both will work on it" Felix said "if Felix is going, I'm too" Jisung said as he looked at Felix with soft eyes "we all are in, we will find out together who is the person behind this" Bangchan added.

"Thankyou guys" Felix whispered to them which was barely audible but they all heard it "you're not alone, we're with you" Hyunjin said as he hugged him.

"We'll wait till Papa wakes up. Maybe he knows atleast something?" Felix said "okay, fine" Minho said.

"I'll stay with him then. You kids go to our house, get fresh. You've had a long journey. Have you eaten?" Jungkook asked ss no replies came. He sighed and said "the food will be there, you just go home" he said as the rest nodded like their father had just scolded them and all of them headed to the Lee house.

Hyunjin looked out at Felix watching as he was silent all the way and looked lifeless, he sighed, not liking the gloomy clouds that have covered his sunshine.

He took Felix's hand and pecked his knuckles "dont worry, we will find out who it is behind this all, okay?" Hyunjin said as Felix just nodded and hugged his arm.
