"coffee for everyone and orange juice for innie" Felix cheerfully said as him and Hyunjin brought out trays having coffee cups for everyone with Felix's tray having an orange juice glass for Jeongin.
A trail of 'thankyou's was passed to the latters who plopped down on the floor since all the seats were taken up by their friends and Felix's parents. The two also took their cups and blew the concoction before drinking it.
If anyone came across this scene, they would think they're having some quality time and thoughts about them being targetted would probably be the last ones. But that's what the ten guys were about, right?
"We can't just hide in here forever, we have to come up with something" Chan, ever being the responsible one, spoke.
"Who said anything about hiding? We're not cowards, Chan. But yea, we do have to plan something" Jungkook said.
"Well, we are sort of, why else would you tell us to be together?" Minho said "fair enough" Jungkook replied, sipping on his coffee, scrunching his face at the bitter taste but letting it slide since he was by now used to it.
"We eventually have to face and fight them" Taehyung said.
"None of us knows how to fight here, except for Felix and Minho cuz, you know, taekwondo" Chan said. Even if they learned how to fight now, they would obviously lose because they were just beginners and those guys would take them out in one blow.
"Well, we don't know how to fight too. Soulmates and love hunters fight differently" Taehyung said, now confusing everyone except his partner.
"We dont fight physically, we fight with our powers and those powers are our mental capabilities" Jungkook said.
"So, like, do you solve puzzles or something? Because this isn't helping, we're still confused" Seungmin said.
"They just give us pure mental torture till the point that we faint or go crazy. They use words instead of weapons, and though it sounds easy to be there, you would just wish to die instead of being there" Jungkook explained.
"Mental torture like how?" Changbin asked "they tell you manipulative, degrading, harrassing and every bad thing in this world. They show you such images, such things that would imprint your brain for rest of your nine lives. This is not even half of how they torture mentally." Jungkook said.
"Do you know why they do this instead of, you know, putting up a fight?" Han asked as the two nodded in agreement.
"Their head hates physical violence and absolutely thrives on ruining everyone mentally. They took the title 'love killers' too seriously" Taehyung said.
"So we have to be mentally prepared for whatever that to is come?" Jeongin asked as he put his now empty juice glass away. Despite owning a cafe, he despised the taste of coffee.
"Hmm, if they get anyone, just be prepared. We had a really hard time to get out of there. Once you be their victim, you come out of that place with hate for everyone which cannot be healed, or you become a part of them" Taehyung said.
"How did you get out of there?" Felix asked "...powers. Powers we get only when we are the chosen ones by the God himself, this is why we call it fight and not torture by the love killers, these powers are used only to kill the hate. Pure hate, raw form of hate. You see that hate once you look at the love killers in their true forms. They have soo much hate in them that you feel like you were stabbed just from the way they look at you" Taehyung said. Despite getting the powers, he was just so disheartened as he thought back to those people. Afterall, his powers were meant to kill, not to cure.
Jungkook, sensing the sangfroid his husband put up just to look strong, wrapped his arm around him and rubbed his arm soothingly while Taehyung retrieved a breath so he dosent break from just the remembrance of those horrifying memories.
"Forget it now, enough of the sad, gloomy mood. How about we cook something? I can even bake a dessert." Felix suggested with a smile.
"Let me join then." Hyunjin said as he took his hand and pecked the back of his palm. "Just say you want to be close to me" Felix teased with a prominent grin "I do" Hyunjin replied with gentle smile.
"Ahem! Lovebirds, we get that you're soulmates but please, let's go to cook" Minho fake coughed, making jisung lightly slap his arm "let my bestie be happy" "he's my brother first then your bestie" Minho showed him his tongue and Jisung pulled on his tongue, making Minho wince as he bit on it. Jisung then gave satisfactory smile while he rubbed his finger on his shirt.
"And you were calling us lovebirds. What are you then? An old, bickering couple?" Hyunjin teased him.
"I guess you forgot how it feels to swallow a whole knife." Minho said with a scary smile and chased a now screaming Hyunjin while Han chased behind him to stop him from killing Hyunjin.
"He'll blend in perfectly with those love killers" Seungmin joked "AHH! SAVE ME FELIX!" Hyunjin screamed for his life as he hid behind Felix.
"Come forward, you coward" Minho said threateningly.
"Why does everyone hide from Minho behind me? Do I look like a 'no Minho killing' wall?" Felix said as a bunch of 'yes' went around the room.
"Did you not hear me? I'll count from three-" "wait, promise me you won't kill me" Hyunjin said in a scared tone.
"Are you coming infront or-" Hyunjin was quick on his feet as he scrambled beside Felix "leave him alone now, hyung. You're scaring my boyfriend." Felix said. "Mind you, I'm letting you go for now, if-"
"I won't repeat it again! My deepest apologies Mr. Lee, please forgive me for the mishaps, cosider me as your child" Hyunjin said with a scared toothy smile as he blinked twice.
"Ew, my child can never be like-" he looked Hyunjin up and down judgingly "-you"
Hyunjin let out an offended gasp "what do you-" "don't push your luck, hyun. Or else even I wouldn't be able to save you" Felix cut him, making Hyunjin nod and gulp down his words "fair enough"
"I'm hungry!" Changbin shouted, making everyone look at him. He blinked twice and flashed a smile "food?" He said and the ones having kitchen duty went to the kitchen.
