part 36. echo-vacuity

Yoongi retreated his steps after getting up as he heard sharp footsteps which got louder by each passing step, unmistakably of his boss- the head.

"Mary had a little lamb..." Their boss hummed in his deep voice but it still echoed in the silent room and the silent corridor.

He finally stepped in with two men-seemingly his bodyguards- in front of him. Only his silhouette was visible to Felix due to the poor lighting but his strong build and intimidating presence was undeniable.

Felix wondered how heartless someone has to be to tease and make fun of the situation as such right now and act as if it is a fun fair instead of a human being held hostage.

When Felix finally saw the man's face in the dim light, he saw the ease beneath the man's cold eyes and a mocking smile which was directed towards him. Every step the man took made Felix fold himself even smaller on the ground.

It took just two long, slow strides for the man to reach Felix before kneeling down towards his figure.

"Looks like we have the boy of those two so-called soulmates" he said with an evil low laugh and then straightened his face in a blink of an eye.

"Those two were such a pain in my ass. You were not that easy to find too, especially that soulmate of yours."

"Don't you fucking dare mention him!" Felix glared at him and the man just indolently laughed instead.

"What are you gonna do? Beat me?" He laughed loudly "hah... Listen here, kid, you might be fed with stuff like 'love killers don't like physical violence' and 'they just do mental violence' and blah blah blah..." He paused and then continued;

"But a thing like you and your soulmate come once in thousands of years and cause a huge pain and loss to us. So no matter how much I don't like it..... You're not being saved today" he said with an evil grin and wide eyes.

"And oh, don't be worried about your loved ones, they're putting their soul out to find you. Ofcourse, no one knows yet where you are, poor them." He put on a mocking sympathy on his face that made Felix's blood boil despite the situation he is in.

He surely did not get the cue of the clenched jaw he received from Felix as he continued, "you know where they're finding him, Min Yoongi?" He said up while flipping around to face Yoongi.

"I have no idea, head." Yoongi replied politely.

"The old base! You see how pathetic this is!?" He laughed out loudly again. "Oh, they haven't been updated at all amongst these years. Some things never change I guess, soulmates and their pathetic work."

Felix had already planned his death in his head and how these people would bury him in the back of the building but he still spoke with faux confidence "so what if they are at the old building now? They will surely come to find me and they will find me." Felix said.

They all wheezed at his statement which was much expected given the condition Felix was in "what an adorable guy, Yoongi. Now don't make me guilty to beat you up" the head mocked Felix while laughing.

"Oh, I almost forgot to introduce myself to you. Myself Cha Eunwoo, I'm the head of the love killers." He said and did a mock polite bow. Just when he did that, someone barged through the door and kicked his ass so hard that he fell face first on the ground and groaned as he broke his nose and fainted immediately as he saw his own blood.

His minions tried to get a hold of the said person but they sprinted in front of Felix in an instance.

"Did they do anything to you?" "Minho hyung?... No, they didn't. I just got hit on my head and was brought here. Look at your right, hyung" Felix said and Minho looked to his right, he almost failed to fight back to one of the man's minions as he noticed that the man Felix was indicating was none other than their uncle... His favourite uncle, or used-to-be-favourite uncle.

Because of the commotion in the cranky room, more love killers ran in to fight Minho. Minho almost got emotional seeing him again but he didn't let out be in his way as he fought the men one by one, but Yoongi never came to fight him.

Minho was hit square one on his face by a punch thrown by a love killer and Felix screamed, "untie me Minho hyung! I'll show these assholes my taekwondo skills!" This made Minho sigh while he punched the guy harder which made him fall back on the ground.

While there was no sign of the love killers coming to attack them, Minho quickly freed Felix from the chains he was tied with. Just when he did so, the slubberdegullions called love killers got back on their feet with melancholic faces while they circled the Lee siblings to fight them.

Minho and Felix faced their backs against each other and got into their taekwondo positions. All the love killers fought then simultaneously yet failed to to even touch them as they moved their arms and legs like fighting machines, making their efforts meaningless and fugacious.

After minutes, echo-vacuity surrounded them as they beat up each man till he can't get up. They panted and looked at Yoongi at the same time with a pointed glare.

"We don't need your pity." Minho spat and positioned to fight the said man.

"You don't know anything, do you?" Yoongi scoffed with a bitter smile, making the siblings be boggled at his words. Yoongi began to walk out of the room and paused to look at them.

"Do you plan to stay here with this?" He said as he pointed at the unconscious Cha Eunwoo and his minions.

They then quietly followed him "what did you mean by what you said earlier?" Felix asked, Minho refused to speak to him.

Yoongi stated out flatly; "Who do you think have them the lead to come here?"
