What am I feeling? I'm with Colton. I shouldn't be feeling this way. That would mean I'm cheating on Colton.
"No, Jade, forget Dann. He's not worth it. You have Colton and he has Stella now. Why bother about him? " I told myself and then heaving a sigh.
Colton just waved at Dann as we made our way to the stalls at the front of the canteen. I turned back and caught him smirking. And then Stella stole his attention to feed him. I had no idea why I felt so angry, at the same time, disappointed.
I pretended that I didn't see anything and walked off with my head down, following Colton's footsteps.
I bought a plate of spaghetti and Colton bought a bowl of mushroom soup. Although the canteen was packed as though a sale was going on, we managed to find a seat for both of us. Unfortunately, it was also a few tables away from Dann and Stella's table.
Settling down at that table, again, my eyes fall on him. I really need to stop doing that. I couldn't help it. I stared back to my plate of spaghetti and ate it. Colton obviously was enjoying his mushroom soup. Awkward silences between us. I slurped my spaghetti into my mouth.
The tomato sauce stained my mouth, so I looked around to thankfully find that no one had seen what I did there. I took a tissue and wiped my mouth. I looked around to ensure again. My eyes, meeting his, Dann stood up and walked towards my table with a can of coke in his hand. Meanwhile, Stella was talking to her friends at the other table. I quickly ate my spaghetti, pretending nothing had happened. As soon as he reached our table, he slammed his can of coke onto the table. I jumped out of my seat in shock. "Woah, woah.. hold up man.." Colton says, raising both his hands up.
