Ever wonder how knowing just one person you've always hated can suddenly mean the world to you?
It was just a breezy morning when I woke up, getting ready for school. Tying up my hair in a cute ponytail, I gave myself a smile knowing how cute I look like. NOT. Moving on, I grabbed my bag and stepped out of my room and jogged down the stairs to the kitchen. Mother just prepared breakfast as usual. But it was nothing much. Just pancakes. I took a plate and grabbed as many pancakes as I could and stuffed them in my mouth, not caring how silly I look as I have no one to impress anyway.
I took a sip of orange juice and stepped out of the house, into the cold chilly morning. Finally, Stella arrived and honked her car after several minutes of waiting outside. I hopped on her car with the windows down. My hairband went loose because I didn't tighten it. So, I retied my hair without using a brush and it went all messy. I don't mind having messy ponytails. In fact, I love messy ponytails.
Moving on, things still stayed the same after breaking up with Dann. I didn't know what was in him that I fell for. That every girl has been dreaming to have him. He always caused trouble in school. And really? He even had someone else when he was with me. Till today, I regretted wasting my time and effort to get him. Even Stella is still deeply in love with him. Not caring if he is a player or not. Love can really cause people blindness in the heart. What do girls that want him, see in him? What did I see in him that I fell for him to the extent that I took 4 years to get him.
Stella drove her way into the school car park and parked her car beside a mini van also known as the school's cool people's party van. Both of us stepped out of the car. Stella locked the car and we both walked towards the school. As usual, Stella and I would go straight for homeroom. Stella is in the same class as me but she would leave for other classes in some point of the day. I only have 3 periods with her for today. Oh, guess what? Looks like he came to school because I see him standing right in front of me. Dann also attends the same classes as me. And not forgetting that today is Monday, he'll be spending the whole day of school in the same class as me. Oh boy, this is going to be a LONG day.
"RINGG!"
The school bell blasts through the corridor giving me a deafening ear. It was the end of the 3rd period, and Stella has to go off for another class after recess. So, during recess, I remembered that there's History and Mr Ray told us to get into pairs before today's History class. Now, Stella won't be in the same class as I am and I have no partner, unless... No way. Not a chance that I will ask Dann to be my partner. The bell went on again signaling that we were suppose to get back to class.
I dragged myself up the flight of stairs from the canteen to my class. On my way back to class, I was kind of stunned. His arms on the wall side by side a girl's head. The girl's hands on his waist. Lip to lip. Woah. Did the school turn into some kind of club? Hold up. Am I jealous? Nah. Probably not. I mean, its only been a week after our breakup. I shouldn't be surprised to see Dann sticking his lips on some other girl should I? I shouldn't. Its over between me and him. I heaved a sigh and walked towards my class, not looking back and trying to forget what I just saw.
"Good morning, Mr Ray!" The class greeted cheerfully, ready to learn History. Its not the subject that my class loves. Its the way Mr Ray teaches us. With games and exciting prizes to be won, our History lessons are what we always look forward to every week. Our class are often noisy, mostly during History. An hour passed by so quickly that we didn't have the time to play any games.
