Chapter 6: Could he be cheating?

To my surprise, Dann didn't land a hand on Colton. Instead, he placed his hands gently on my face, brushed my hair aside and leaned closer to me. He whispered in my ear,

"What a fearful boyfriend you have there," he then giggled and smirked. The smell of spearmint from Dann's mouth was so strong that when he whispered, he sent blood rushing down through my spine. Dann then walked away, Colton then took back his seat and asked what that was all about and I told him that it was just a secret that Stella wanted to tell me about her mother. Colton's face didn't change a single bit when Dann whispered in my ear and smirked. Guess Dann was right. What Dann was trying to say was how Colton was being a coward backing up instead of defensively trying to protect me. Well, maybe Dann was right.

Colton has been acting really weird lately. He seem to be keeping secrets from me, always gets cold sweat when I ask him about Jessica. She's a friend of mine whom I've known for a very long time. I introduced her to Colton 3 months ago. Colton also realized Jessica stays nearby where he lives. I still have no idea why EVERY TIME without fail, he'll have cold sweat when I say Jessica's name. I don't know, but one thing's for sure, I'll find out soon.

We went up the flight of staircase towards our classroom. Colton sent me to my classroom before heading off to History class. Without even turning back, he walked off. What's wrong with him these days? I sighed and entered my classroom, hoping everything will get better by the end of the day. I took a seat and rested my head on the desk.

I didn't want to think of anything. Just rest. I sighed.
