The next night, things flared up between my parents. I heard screaming and shouting, and things smashing on the floor. My brother, Ken, who's just 4 years old, got so scared. Dad almost hitting Mom. Luckily, Ken got into Dad's way fast enough to stop him. He held out his pair of short arms, enough to block Mom. His face looked so serious. And yet, thankfully, Dad sighed and put down his fistful hand. Mom fell to the ground and cried. She then hugged Ken while Ken wiped her tears. A peck on Ken's cheek was given.
I felt as though my life has officially been ruined. So much for having an awesome summer coming up. I immediately ran into my room, and slammed the door. I sat at a corner of my room, and hugged myself. Through the whole night, tears wet my bare face. All I wanted was to live a happy, typical life like those girls out there. I thought being happy was so easy. I thought happiness was just an easy thing to come to.
I ended up sleeping on the cold floor, my body aching, surrounded by tissues. My bed, my whole room was a mess. I glanced at the clock on the wall, displaying '05:15 AM'. I yawned, grabbed my towel and dragged my feet to the toilet. I was not ready for school, but I have to go. Despite seeing people, everywhere, who'd obviously go up to me and ask what happened to me plus, having to explain everything all over again was a total waste of time. Just a sentence that will spit out of my mouth will be fine. "I'm tired." That's all I can say.
Today will obviously be a troublesome day, with Home Economics class to settle, the ingredients that I have to bring. Not forgetting netball training that I'll be attending later on after school.
