Phil P.O.V.

"Oh my goodness, Phil, it's beautiful." Dan says, walking into her room with his rolling pole holding the bag of chemo that's going in his arm.

"I know. I'm so excited." I say, putting the finishing touches on our baby girl's room.

After Dan telling me that he wanted to adopt a baby girl, I was so happy. I couldn't tell why he was nervous.

"So we pick up our little girl tomorrow?" Dan asks, sitting down because being on his leg too long hurts.

"Yup, but you have to rest because your surgery is in three days." I say, scared at the thought of Dan's leg being amputated.

"I know, Phil. No need to remind me." Dan says, with a light chuckle. I love how he has the mentality to be happy through this whole process.

It's harder for me than him, I think. I'm the one who has to watch him suffer and can't do anything about it. I know it can't compare to the one suffering, but seeing it makes me suffer. I see his brown locks around the house, huge tufts in his hair brush, and it hurts me. Though, I can't think about this right now as all I can think about is our baby girl coming home tomorrow.

As I lay in bed with Dan, I realize we haven't decided with a name yet, as she's a newborn and doesn't have a name.

"Dan, have you thought of a name for the baby?" I ask him.

"Dandelion."

"Why is that?"

"Well, it has part of my name in it which is amazing. It has the word lion in it, and you love lions. Also, dandelions grant wishes, and this little girl is my wish granted." Dan says.

"That's beautiful, Dan. I can't wait to have baby Dandelion in my arms." While I say so, Dan is already fast asleep in my arms and before I know it, the darkness overtakes me as well.

Instead of having bad dreams of Dan's cancer, I fall asleep with the soothing nature of a dandelion field.

"Phil, it's time!" Dan says, shaking me awake.

"Time for what? If you don't say pancakes, I'm not getting up." I mumble.

"No, we're getting Dandelion today!" With those words, I shoot up because I'm so excited.

"Let's go, shall we, slowpoke?" I say, running to the dresser to get dressed.

"Chill out, I'm the one with the crap leg here!" Dan says, getting out of bed slowly.

As the taxi is inching closer to the adoption facility, I can't help be nervous. Dan and I are going to be parents. Parents. We're going to be the most badass parents.

"You're here. I can tell you're about to become dad's because I was in a similar situation with my husband. Good luck." The cab driver says.

"Thank you!" I say, jumping out the car in anticipation.

"Welcome to Little Hearts Adoption. How can I help you?" The lady says, looking Dan and I up and down since we look like the weirdest parents. A punk and a pastel, holding hands.

"Hi, we're Dan and Phil Lester, and we're here to adopt our little girl. She's blonde, one blue and one brown eye, and she's six months old." I say.

"Oh, right this way!" She says.

I hold Dan's hand tighter.

"Here you are, your little girl. Do you have a name for her?" The lady asks.

"Dandelion Marie Lester." Dan says proudly. He decided on Marie as the middle name since that was his mother's name.

"Well, Miss Dandelion is all yours. Good luck, gentlemen." She says, handing me the baby.

"Thank you!" I exclaim.

When I look into my daughter's unique eyes, I can tell that she already has my whole heart.

What warms my heart most is Dan takes his flower crown off and puts it on Dandelion. When the flower crown rests upon her head, her eyes light up at the new feeling. She's grabbing for it and smiling, and I know that she's going to love Dan's flower crowns.

I know that it makes Dan happiest because him wearing flower crowns has always been a huge aspect on his life, and the best girl in his life now has the same love.

"Let's go home, Dan." I say.

"Great. I can't wait to spend this new chapter of our lives with you and Dandelion." He says, holding my free hand.

"I said something like that on our wedding night." I say, smiling at the memory of our wedding.

"I know, its true. And we have someone else to share it with."
