Jack refused to take me home after finding out who his evil side had killed. I couldn't call Marley to pick me up, because I knew she wouldn't come, and she would want to try and kill Jack. I also couldn't call my mom or dad because then they would figure out that I've been lying to them the whole time. So I ended up having to take a bus home.
It dropped me off near the corner where I lived, and I walked in to my parents sobbing over the terrible news. They ran over to me and hugged me tightly as soon as I went through the door.
"Jackie! Are you okay?" Mom asked.
"I'm fine..." I mumbled.
"What happened? Did Marley take you home still?" Dad asked.
"No... I left them alone so I took the bus home." I said.
"That wasn't very nice of them!" Mom claimed. "I know they lost somebody very close to them but still..."
"Mom, it's fine!" I assured her. "It was my idea."
"You still shouldn't have done that." Dad said. "You could've asked us to pick you up!"
"I know... I'm sorry..." I apologized. They then left me alone to go upstairs into my room. I laid down on my bed, still feeling the pain from when the evil Jack slammed my head against the wall. I was lucky I didn't need stitches, otherwise this would've ended a whole lot differently.
The entire time I was upstairs, all I could think about was the guilt in Jack's eyes when he saw me alive but had found out he had hurt me still. I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that he was panicking and crying whenever he found out his evil self had killed my friends father.
I then sat up in my bed, beginning to think to myself. Maybe there was a way I could try and help Jack take control of his evil self and maybe get rid of him for good. I then texted Jack.
I want to help you try and get rid of your evil self
A few moments later he replied
If the cops don't find me and accuse me of murder then maybe you and I could figure out something.
Suddenly, there was a loud knock on my door.
"What?" I shouted.
My mom and dad immediately stormed in.
"We had just gotten off the phone with Marley and her mother!" My mom explained. "They both claimed that you were not at their house the entire night!"
"What? Yes I was!" I tried to lie again. Both of my parents looked at me sternly.
"When Marley's mom got home after finding out her husband got murdered, Marley told her mother everything!" Dad explained. "She told her about this guy that you went with for something!"
I had no clue what to do or what to say. If I told another lie, I would get busted, but if I told the truth, I would probably be busted even more.
Tons of questions went through my mind
Why did it have to be my closest friends father?
Why did it have to be somebody we knew?
Why did I trust Jack into going with him?"Jackie!" Mom exclaimed. "What's been going on?"
I suddenly couldn't take the pressure anymore. I let it all out.
"OKAY! I went and hung out with a YouTuber I knew over the Internet named Jacksepticeye!" I yelled.
I wanted to say more, but nothing else came out. Besides, that was partially the truth.
"Why would you hang out with a stranger?" Dad asked.
"He's not a stranger dad! He's a YouTuber I know!" I explained.
"But that doesn't give you the right to just hang out with him!" Mom explained. "You don't know who that guy is behind the camera online!"
"He's a sweet, sensitive and funny guy just like he is online!" I swore.
"You still could've kept in contact with us!" Dad explained.
"Both of our phones were dead, my charger wasn't the same as his, and his charger was broken!" I lied.Things were silent for a moment. My mom and dad looked at each other for a moment and then looked back at me.
"This is just too rough of a time to be doing these things, Jackie..." Mom sighed, her hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry... I'll let you guys know what's going on next time." I claimed. They were silent. But eventually, they just nodded and left the room. I let out a big sigh of relief and laid back down on my bed.
I wanted to text Jack again and let him know I was off the hook. But he might not be off the hook, he could still get arrested and he told to tell them everything. Which would get me in trouble again.
And I would never hear the end of it...
