"We missed you sweetheart." Johannah whispered in my ear as I hugged her. I didn't really know what to say honestly. It sucks that I'm seeing her again because Louis granddad died."I missed you too." I mean, that seems like the right thing to say. Her eyes were like everyone else in the room, red and puffy. She pulled away to look at me for a second then kissed my cheek.
"The girl's will be happy to see you." she said then walked away to go greet the other boys. I've been inside Louis' house hundreds of times but this time it feels like I'm intruding. There are family members here that I haven't met before, but also some I have. Louis aunt flashed me a smile form across the room. If I remember right her name is Julia.
"Hi." I female voice came from behind me.
"Hey." I pulled Lottie into a hug.
"I like the pastel pink." she said still hugging me.
Finally someone who knows their colors!
"You doing okay?" I asked looking at her in the eyes.
"Yeah. Just hard, you know?" she nodded her head.
"I'm sorry, hun." I hugged her again.
"I'm glad you came. I missed you."
"I missed you too Lott." I really did miss her, I was always close with Louis' family.
"Fizzy and the twins are somewhere. They'll want to see you."
"Okay." I hated seeing her so upset...
"Are you staying with us? Or at a hotel?" she asked wiping at her eyes.
"Oh, I'll be at the hotel with the boys. I don't want to intrude on your guy's family time."
"You are family, Ali." it made her giggle a little. "My mom is having a big lunch for everyone today, you're going to be there, right?"
"I'll try. I don't know what the boys are doing."
"Hey." Louis' voice boomed from behind me making me jump. "Come with me for second?" he asked me. "We'll be back in a few minutes Lottie. Why don't you go say hi to everyone." he suggested to her.
"But-"
"Lott, please."
"Fine." she huffed and walked around us. Louis snaked his arm around my waist. I wanted to pull myself away but he pushed me up the stairs so I didn't really have a choice.
"Louis, you should be with your family." I told him halfway up the stairs.
"Shh."
Did he honestly just shush me?
"In here." he demanded and opened the door that was his old bedroom. It was mostly just a bed and some boxes now. But his mom always kept it open for him.
"What are we doing up here?" I asked looking around the room. It hasn't changed since the last time I was here.
"I just wanted to apologize to you."
"What?" it came out a little more shocked sounding then I wanted it to.
"I didn't mean it when I said you're heartless. I just was upset."
"Oh. It's fine. I knew you didn't mean it."
"No, it's not fine. I guess with everything that has happened I realized that you don't know what the last thing is that you're going to say someone. I mean, we cold have died in a plane crash today and the last thing you would have heard form me would have been me calling you heartless. Which isn't true."
