It had been a full week without touching or even coming close to mommy. Dad had taken her to one of his business trips and they were coming home today. They said they had a surprise or something like that.

Lucy and I raced to the door as we looked for our presents. It was a family tradition.

"Me and mommy have had a hard day today so we'll be resting. Make sure Cecilia is comfortable and stays out of trouble" Dad said
"I have to babysit?" I scoffed
"Luke" dad warned
"Fine" I groaned and went to my room.
