The thunder clapped as I was perched by my window
I watched on as the rain pelted down the glass
Trying to decipher each drop of water that fell from the sky

Lightning striked in front of me
I shivered as I saw it tore through the rogue clouds
A force of darkness that blanketed the world;
I blinked as the harsh light momentarily blinded me

Thunder boomed once again the sound resonating inside my bruised heart
Perfectly rhyming with its erratic beats

Every drum and strike was like a blade that cuts through my soul

Ferocious wind swept through forcing everything in its way to bow down as it releases its wrath
Its whistle echoes like that of a wounded spirit
Reaching into the depths of my being

What an agony to hear
As it slowly dismantle me from the inside out

The storm resembling the melancholic cry of the brokenhearted

Why does it feel like the world is crying with me?
