I heard a knock on my front door and I opened it to see a smiling Lane. His smile fell a little and I frowned. "You're hair is wet" He stated while looking at my hair. "So?" I asked while looking at him.

He walked inside my house and up to my room. I followed behind wondering what he was up to. He walked in my room and looked around "where are you hats?" He asked and I walked over to an old beanie that was as old as the hills. I handed it to him and he grabbed it and me. He placed it on my head and then wrapped a scarf around me.

"There. Now you won't get sick" he said with a smile. I rolled my eyes and said "going outside with a wet head actually doesn't get you sick." He playfully rolled his eyes while I drug him out of my room and to his car.

"Where are we going?" I asked while we drove out of my neighborhood. "I'm gonna be cliché and take you miniature golfing" Lane said while smirking at me. I looked at the clock and saw that it was almost 7. "It's probably closed" I told him, and his smirk grew. "It is closed" he said while pulling off an exit.

We pulled into an empty parking lot and got out. None of the lights were on and it was kind of scary. Lane grabbed my hand and led me to a gate. There was a hole in the gate near the back and he opened it up for me. I squeezed through and then Lane did the same.

It was even more creepy inside the place. Everything was dark and the figures from the courses reminded me of every scary movie I had ever seen. I leaned more towards Lane and he once again grabbed my hand and led us to the front of the place. He flipped some switches and all the lights turned on. He grabbed two putters and some golf balls.

I sucked at golfing and always ended up mad. Lane was actually pretty good and I was getting frustrated. Lane kept chuckling at me which made me glare at him.

After around 30 minutes of me failing, I was about to throw my putter across the fence. Lane was cracking up and he was red in the face from laughter. "Here, let me help" he said and walked behind me. He wrapped his arms around me and put his hands over mine and gently hit the ball.

Even with Lane's help I missed and I yelled out some cuss words which resulted in Lane laughing again. "Man you do suck at golfing" Lane said. I hit him on the chest and said "don't be rude!" Then walked off to the next course.

After going through the whole course I was ready to leave and never come golfing again. Lane helped me through the fence again and we walked to his car.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked while leaving the parking lot. I thought about it and then said "Taco Bell" I loved Taco Bell, even though it was unhealthy.

We pulled into Taco Bell and got out. It was around 8:30 and no one was really here. We ordered and went and sat down. "I picked my favorite picture of Caleb and I" I said while looking at the corner of the table.

"I saw it" Lane said and I remembered him walking into my room. "We both looked really happy and full of life" I said not taking my eyes off the table.

Lane put his fingers under my chin and lifted my head up. "No more looking down" he said in a whisper. It sent shivers down my spine. Wait what? I didn't say anything, and I just looked into his eyes.

His eyes were my favorite. My favorite thing to look at. Wait what are you talking about Hope? But I couldn't help but love his eyes. It was the first thing I saw about him and they were mesmerizing.

We finished eating without really saying anything else.

On the way home I turned to Lane and asked "why were you in Colorado?" Lane didn't answer me and I was about to ask him again but he said "doesn't matter" I gave him a confused look and said "it matters to me" but he didn't answer.
