"You really should join my crew," the red-haired male mused while you followed behind him in the long corridors of his big and spectacular ship. "You would be a perfect fit in the crew, traditional cast speller, one irresistible enough," he purred and glanced you over his shoulder to give you a merry smile while his words spoke sultry stuff.

You raised your brows and shook your head a bit, amused by the captain's remarks. "Hmm, I'm not too convinced yet," you hummed and examined your surroundings.

"Well then, there is the last but not least, the captain's quarters," Shanks began, opening double doors to his personal captain's space. His bedroom and workplace, maps scattered on a big table that was in the middle of the room, and a spacious bed behind it on the wall that was against the back wall of the ship. The furniture was made from dark wood, very wealthy-looking, with candlelight illuminating it.

His captain's room wasn't as big as you imagined, seemingly he seemed humble enough. Well, he surely didn't seem to have known ego problems or too great a picture of himself just because he was captain. In the literature you had read about pirates, they seemed all vile and territorial, desiring more evil achievements of terrorizing innocent citizens. But what for he was a pirate then, if he was to just sail seas in peace, why not just be a sailor? Or did he grow up in this lifestyle? Many little boys did indeed dream of being pirate captains. Well, you didn't understand the hype, but the seas still peculiarly called you.

This red-haired captain had stayed on your island only two days, and he was ready to accept you in his crew of bulky men with an appetite and a greed for alcohol. You didn't see the fit, the way he described. Also, you felt like there was a lot you didn't know about this fella yet. He was too charming, too happy, and too much of an alcoholic. He had been drinking for two days straight with no break in sight. He had problems, and you weren't gonna touch those. But this facade annoyed you, knowing that couldn't be his personality as a whole. What laid behind those dots of dark eyes, you wondered.

He had an expression, yes. But that expression and emotion displayed didn't reach his pupils. They were just too dull. Your strong instinct was telling you something was a little off about this guy. But it was hard to place when he knew to act so perfectly normal, in some sense. What you meant was that he was perfectly playing it off and raised no questions. It ticked you off, so you knew there was no chance for you to trust this man as your captain or as a visitor on this island. He indeed did march on this island, to your cottage like you were old acquaintances, the surroundings of your cottage he knew like his own pockets.

You were getting more fascinated by him while still growing a dislike towards him for confusing you. Making your mind raise with questions and predictions, pondering on the never-ending. You would lose if you were to question him out loud. Well, so you thought for some reason. He would deny you, make you feel stupid, belittle you, and make himself even more mysterious while almost flawlessly lying straight to your face about the suspicious tingles he created on your skin.

"Care to join me?" The captain mused, standing by a table dedicated to the whiskeys, boozes, and rums. He had already poured a glass of rum for himself, and unfortunately for you as well. Hair in your spine rose and you felt a cold wave moving through your body, from the image of the taste of that crap. "Come, come."

You did as he told you to do and approached him slowly, accepting the glass he offered to you. He took a sip, keeping his eyes glued on yours, waiting for you to taste the treat he adored. You took a gulp, not hiding your dissatisfaction afterwards, and frowning at the drink.

"Good?" He chuckled, entertained by your dislike and expressive face. You raised your brows and gave him a serious face. He drank his glass empty, and after swiping your glass from your hand, he emptied it as well. He placed his hand on your waist and gently pushed you towards his bigger structure. "Am I allowed to place my lips on yours?" He asked tipsily, almost like a gentleman.
