I watched Jackson step out from under the bridge. He waded through the water to meet the bandits on the bank. Jackson didn't have any gold or jewels of any type on him so he wasn't exactly a target but the bandits were looking for any excuse for a fight. The six bandits walked up to him laughing. They wore a mismatch of torn clothes which had been patched up with random pieces of fabric. Across their belts lay weapons that had been sharpened and bent to make them deadly. Jackson held him self strongly to make them see that he was a force to be reckoned with, despite only wearing his under wear.
"Well, well, well who do we have here?" A tall burly man asked his neared face looming nearer to Jackson's. This man carried an air of superiority and had the stance of a man who knew he could never be beaten.
"I'm James." He lied. He knew that if he told the men who he really was then they would take him and hold him for ransom or they would kill him on the spot. Jackson kept his head forward and ignored the other five men circling him hoping to intimidate him.
"James," the muscular man said through squinted eyes "what is a fellow like you doing in the woods? Did your mama not tell you they are dangerous." He said as he squished his cheeks as if Jackson were a child. Jackson suddenly launched a punch on the mans face. The man just laughed and didn't even seem to flinch and his cronies grabbed his arms and one grasped him around the throat.
"Your either brave or an absolute idiot." The bandit chuckled "why don't we have a little fun ey?" The group of bandits laughed and jeered. The tall man threw a massive punch into Jackson's stomach. Jackson flew backwards and landed brutally on the ground winding himself, I winced I couldn't watch while he was getting beaten. The man threw another punch whilst the other men laughed at Jackson on the floor. Jackson tried to get up but with every attempt he was just punched or kicked harder. I couldn't sit here whilst Jackson was getting beaten to death. I knew what I was about to do was foolish but hopefully it would give Jackson time to recover or get help. He wouldn't forgive me for this, but I was going to do it anyway.Slowly I crept out from under the bridge. The men all had their backs to me as they continually beat up Jackson. I waded through the water, my dress was now completely see through, at least I wasn't naked I thought to myself.
"Leave him alone." I shouted strongly and bravely. I heard Jackson groan in both pain and annoyance. The bandits all turned their head simultaneously. They all nudged each other when they saw me wearing next to nothing and grinned pervertedly.
"You kept her quiet didn't you James," the leader of the bandits said as he walked up to me. "I can see why. Your a pretty little thing aren't ya." He stroked his rough calloused hand down my cheek, I pulled away from him only to have him grasp my wrists together. "I'm sure my friends and I could have a great time with you."
"Don't you dare touch her." Jackson croaked from the floor causing the men to erupt into hysterics. I suddenly began to feel very scared, who knows what these men would do to me. The Knights who came with us were no where to be seen, we must have gone pretty far away from the clearing. Then with all my strength I jolted my knee up and kicked him in the most painful place. The leader howled in pain and fell onto to the floor in agony. I grabbed his jagged sword from his belt in one swift movement and gave the rest of the gang death glares.
"Run, if you know what's good for you." I ordered in my most powerful voice I could muster. Suddenly I felt someone wrap their arm around my throat.
"Didn't think it would be that easy did you sweetheart." The chief said in my ear, his whiskery beard brushing against my face. His friends began cackling loudly whilst they came and stood around me. I tried kicking them but they were in too close a proximity for it to make any difference. I tried to squirm out of their grip as they began to run their hands down my body. I shut my eyes, hoping this torture would go away. The chief grabbed my wrists with his free hand and held them so tight that I let out a cry of pain. I continued to try and get away but my attempts just made them laugh more. Suddenly a man who stood to my left fell to the ground, a dagger had been pushed through him from his back and into his heart. Before the man standing beside him could react he to was stabbed in the back by a dagger. The other four bandits turned immediately around and I gasped for air as the leader released me from his choke hold. Once I had caught my breath back I noticed that Jackson was stood there with all sorts of weapons in his belt. The bandits frowned at one and other as they realised that Jackson had taken their weapons off them whilst they had crowded me. Jacksons face was bloody and so was his clothes. His hair was a mess and he could hardly stand up but that didn't stop him from lunging forward and putting a dagger through one of the confused men. A bandit decided to charge at Jackson, who just smirked and stabbed him with his sword. The two remaining bandits fled, including the ring leader, into the woods.
