I sat, inching closer towards the wall. Mentally and physically preparing myself for whatever was ascending from the darkness.
Shadows emerged from the smoky darkness, a giant stone army. They stood watching me, the masks on their faces made it difficult to understand what they were thinking, but all were faced towards me.
"Gutmã meneeÿ drapęchu kïtjamu fçus!" The toad man cried out, gripping his arm. He looked as if praying for forgiveness, begging and imploring. He kneeled, gripping his arm while tears spilled from his eyes.
"Kupintà Drogah." A raspy voice echoed over the maze. The toad man's eyes widened with horror, upon hearing those foreign words.
Two of the stone warriors marched forward gripping the yelling toad, whom fought back with all his might. They carried him, away into the darkness. His screams becoming faint whistle.
I looked back at the army, they were standing in rows, protecting a faint figure in the darkness, it stood staring at me intensively.
Minutes passed, I stood looking down, awaiting my fate while my thoughts ran wild.
"Why are you here girl? You're not suppose to be here, this isn't the place for you." The raspy voice spoke, I peered up, confused. I didn't even know how I got here.
"I- I have no clue why I'm here, who are you?" I could barely hear my own voice, but I was beyond terrified and I couldn't concentrate enough to bother.
Through the darkness, I could see his frown, starting at me.
"Ujiment sepitent bunkitnè." One of the stone giants came up to me, holding a large dark gold cloth, I stared at the shadow of the man, bewildered.
"Take it, you need it." His voice spoke, on cue I reached out, thanking the stone giant. Carefully, I wrapped the cloth around my shoulders, starring at the shadowy man.
"Who are you?"
All stared at me, blankly, as if I was suppose to know, who this man was.
"Well since you'll be staying a while, might as well inform." He jumped off his black stallion, still emerged in the dark smoke.
"I'm the ruler, the emperor, the god of the underworld. Some call me Hades, I prefer Harry. " He slowly, walked out of the smoky darkness, revealing a tall man. His dark curls and green eyes could fool anyone, I stood mesmerized by him. Astonished he was human, or at least looked human.
"Why am I here, in the underworld? I've always been a good-"
"You're here because you got curious, too curious and now the good and bad will have a deathly war to claim you. You're not safe anymore and its my duty to keep you in one piece now."
I stared at him, unable to speak.
I managed to choke out a few words,
"A war? What will happen to you?
"Nothing, nothing can hurt me. Im soulless, besides you'll be staying with my niece Athena. Welcome to the land Of Gods and Monsters."
He walked closer starring at me.
"I'll retrieve a ring of source and soon you'll be able to touch others without causing harm."
I gasped as the words slipped from his mouth,
"I caused the whole.." I motioned towards the half toad man lying on the ground.
He smiled, nodding. How is this funny, I murdered a toad men and injured one. Although they deserved it, Im not proud of it.
"And you can do much more, please come." He motioned his hand, the entire stone army moved aside as I walked forward, aside Harry.
