I walked further and further down the mountain until reaching the valley. A giant wall surrounded the city and the entrance looked more like a maze, mazes frightened me. The thought of getting lost in a puzzle, sent shivers through body. I took a step forward, conquering my greatest fear whist remembering why Im here.
I heard voices, the deeper I moved into the maze of darkness. My body was radiating light, which made me skeptical but, I ignored it. It helped light the way through the dark corners. The deeper and deeper, I ascended, the darker it would become causing my body would radiate brighter. Which made me over think,
You're dead, Fawn.
You're dead, Fawn.
You're dead, Fawn.
The sentence repeated itself in my mind, it drove me to the edge of sanity and I cried out for it to stop.
"Im not dead. Im not dead. Im not dead!"
I shouted like a maniac, grabbing my head and running. I was panicking now, scared and confused.
I stopped upon seeing two large reptile creatures staring at me.
They both smiled evilly, and began to walk towards me.
"Sweetheart you are dead." One of the toad men rasped out. My eyes widened, from fear and bewilderment.
They stood about 10 feet away from me, every bone and nerve demanded I run but, somehow I couldn't. I stood watching the toad men smile wickedly at each other.
"Now what is a babe like you doing down here? And better yet how do you taste?" The first toad men spoke licking his webbed fingers as he pulled out a knife.
"Lets find out Drogah" Both toad men leaped towards me, I shielded my eyes on impact, afraid of what the two monsters were capable of. A loud yell was echoed and I fought the urge to keep myself balled up. I uncovered my arms from my eyes, only to find a gruesome sight, that made me want to vomit.
One of the toad men's arm was melted off, he winced in pain as he held what was left of his arm. The other was gone, half his body was melted as well, he lied there, intestines slipping out from his body.
I grew frighted, looking down at my body, to make sure I was whole. Everything seemed fine with me, though I wondered what caused this scene, and if it'll reoccur.
I frowned at the remaining toad creature,
"What happened?" My voice barely audible.
"Who the hell are you? How did you get here? You're not suppose to be here!" He yelled in pain, clutching his arm closer to his chest.
"What do you mean?"
I was intrigued yet scared, what does he mean 'Im not suppose to be here?'
My eyebrows knitted together,
"Listen you disgusting thing, this isn't where you belong. How did you get -"
He stopped talking, looking onward, galloping was heard getting closer and closer. My knees felt weak as the sound of horses neared us. I faced the toad man, his face no longer in pain,he was ashen faced upon hearing them, I held my arm, afraid of whats to come.
I stared at the darkness, waiting, watching.
"Emperor H-Hades..." The toad man spoke in whispered stutters.
