I couldn't run any longer, my tired feet stopped. I stood in the darkness, no light could remove the pain that now made a home within me. I stared down at my feet, they were covered in grey dust. The same dust that created the memories, I reached down, allowing my fingertips to gently touch the foreign powder.

I stood up, letting my body fall forward, embracing the dusty substance over my body as I fell through the floor.
I fell gracefully, thinking of Lilian, hoping that I could no longer remember the awful and wonderful memories.

I opened my eyes, confusion striking me. I sat up looking around, gravel beneath me, was I alive? I looked over, I was on a mountain, the sky was red and covered with clouds of smoke. Lava covered the majority of the ground, was I alive?
My legs jolted up, and carried me to the ledge, in hopes of civilization.
If I was alive, then I could find Lilian and reunite with my beautiful sister.

My eyes scanned the bottom of the mountain, a vast city covered the valley below. Dark and terrifying, it looked as if it came out of a children's novel. I needed to find people and if it meant traveling down to the terrifying empire below, to reunite with Lilian, then I was going to do it.

I looked at my legs, they were still marked with the mysterious grey substance. Yet the white cloth, covering my body was as clean as ever.
It made me wonder.

I carefully maneuvered around the rocks, pain stung my feet as I stepped on sharp pebbles.
The more it hurt, the more my excitement raised. Pain must mean Im alive, I smiled as I thought of Lilian.

"I'll soon be home Lil." My smile growing larger, I'll soon be home.
