He opened his brown eyes and looked right up into mine. I quickly snatched my hand away from his hair, blushing. He just smiled at me, this cute crooked smile.
"'Ello," he said as he stretched and yawned.
"Hi. Nice sleep?"
"Mhm. Seems like you were enjoying it too," he winked at me and my heart melted.
"Look, I don't know what that was, I'm tired, I wasn't thinking straight, I'm-"
"You're so lovely April," he interrupted, looking straight at me and shaking his head. I stopped talking and just stared at him. I didn't know how to react or how to feel. This all felt so weird, and the only thought I could fathom was that I was falling uncontrollably in love with this guy, and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
"Mick, I..."
He heaved himself up and sat cross-legged in front of me. He just looked at me, and there was something about his gaze that captivated me...I couldn't look away.
"Do you like me, April?"
"Well, yes...Of course I do, it's just I...I don't-"
"And so if I were to kiss you right now, you wouldn't mind?" he smirked at me. That was a bit full on. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised; boys in bands were always like that. Thing is, I didn't mind him asking. In fact, part of me was enjoying how strange and quick this whole thing was.
"God, you're such a flirt, Mick," I sighed, trying to hide my blushing cheeks. The truth was that the thought of kissing him drove me crazy.
"Okay." he smiled again and got up.
"I'll show you where the phone is," I said, leading him out to the hallway where it hung on the wall.
I handed him the telephone and walked back to the living room.
"Thanks love!" he called after me. I couldn't help grinning when I heard him say it.
After a minute he came back through.
"Ready to meet the Clash?" he grinned at me.
I ran past him, shoved on my Docs and called for him to hurry up.
