For the second time I woke up with Spencer's arms around me. I lay with my back to him, his nose brushing against the back of my neck. His arms were strewn around me firmly, gripping my waist. A very nice way to wake up. The best way in fact. How am I only now realising that I'm always happy when he's around? It seems foolish that I did not see it before.  His arms around me feels so good that I worry that Noah may have been right.

I yawned widely and stretched, arching my back like a cat. I shifted position to look at him and saw with surprise that his brown eyes were open and alert.

I smiled. "How long have you been awake?" I asked, voice croaky from sleep.

His answering smile was swift and sweet, softening the sharp, angular features. I was finding it increasingly hard to look away when he smiled.

"Not long" He said softly.

Grinning, I propped my head up with my elbow. "Have you been watching me sleep?" I said in a if-you-have-you're-such-a-creep voice.

"You woke me up with all your fidgeting" He retorted.

"Oh" I said. "Sorry" I added hastily.

He chuckled. "I'm kidding Liv. I didn't mind" He said, his face very close to mine. The way he smiled at me made the words sound different somehow and I couldn't help it: I blushed and dipped my head.

It annoyed me that I couldn't think of a sarcastic retort, so I just changed the subject instead.

"Are you going to apologise to Sam about the other night?" I asked pointedly.

Spencer frowned. "No. Guys don't do that" He said.

I couldn't help but laugh. "You're the one who always want me to talk about my feelings" I retorted.

He rose his eyebrows. "Yeah because you're a girl- girls are supposed to get all deep with each other. Me and Sam on the other hand..." He trailed off and shot me a significant look.

"Oh you have noticed I'm a girl then?" I teased.

"I thought asking me to play football meant I was a 'bro'" I said, struggling to keep a straight face.

"Shut up" He retorted, laughing. "I've definitely noticed you're a girl" He added, running his eyes all over my body.

Conscious of my semi nakedness, I pushed him in the chest.

"Stop looking at me like that!" I objected.

He smirked. "Looking at you like what?" He asked, looking amused now.

"Like you're objectifying me" I said shortly, embarrassed.

He grinned, full of mischief. "If you want me to treat you like a girl" He said. I glared at him and rolled away on the bed.

"We're going to be late" I said abruptly.

"Liv" Spencer sighed. He stood up from the bed and came towards me.

"I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable" He said sincerely.

I couldn't look at him, because that wasn't the problem. That wasn't it at all.

"You didn't Spence" I whispered, trying to move away. He blocked my path.

"Then what's the problem?" He cried, the usual frustration when I wasn't being honest with him appearing.

I stared at the ground and in my peripheral vision I saw the dawning of realisation pass over his face.

"Oh" He breathed out, expression unfathomable.
