Scott and i have been together for a year now and its been beyond amazing,even my mum knows about us and she doesn't mind too much as far as we don't do the forbidden,imagine my surprise when she first asked me about him she said ocha come here i need to speak to you in a serious tone and my blood ran cold instantly because she has been given me the i'm unto you look for days. i sat down meekly and she cleared her throat

ocha she began,you know i'm your mother and i see things,i know things ,don't think i'm too old to recognise things when i see them because even this canteen cannot stop me from knowing my children's whereabout,now i want you to tell me the truth,whats going on between you and sharon's brother Scott? she asked

Honestly i didn't know what to say and i just stared at her, chimamanda she continued i asked you a question,okay let me try again is he your boyfriend? she asked and i nodded she simply smiled and asked why him? the smile loosened my tongue and i said he makes me happy,he is so so gentle,he is understanding,always there for me and he wanted to ask for your permission to be with me but i didn't let him

my mum laughed hard and asked really? well that's surprising
Scott is a good boy i know that but i still need to look out for you,please don't betray the trust i have i you,i know you are a sensible girl and you won't do anything stupid,i just nodded happily because a huge burden has been lifted off my shoulder,let me tell you it feels super good to be guilty free,oh i can't wait to tell Scott.

i am in my third year in the university now and Amanda is in her first year studying business admin,she wants to own her own srings off eatries and high class resturant in the future so i advised to take extra courses in the polytechnic just to have an idea and she now taking a two year course on food science and hospitality management which means i don't get to see her even though we are in the same university,but its better than nothing,the love i feel for her grows each day and i can't believe she is mine,i want to make her forever mine someday. i show her off at the Campus every chance i get because she grows more beautiful every day her skin glows,even the nigerian sun cant take the glow off her,unlike girls who try to had she just doesn't have to people listen when she speaks,most times she doesn't even need to say a word i'm just so captivated by her. i love her and i want her to know just how much which is why i want to spend this weekend with her.

i got to the cafeteria and i saw Amanda sitting at the extreme corner reading a book,i got to her seat and touched her arm she squealed and gave me a hug,i sighed in contentment,this is where i belong...
