Scott's POV

Scott couldn't believe his luck,to say he is shocked is an understatement. After 10 years of trying to get to her who would have thought his ocha would just stumble into his office.

She's unconscious and he knows he should be doing something about it instead of grinning foolishly at her but he just couldn't control the big smile splitting his face,he used the opportunity to really look at her.

She's still as light as ever which is why she's called ocha which means white in her language,her face isn't even lined at all

though she's 34 years old,her large eyes are light brown and her nose pointed,he mistook her as an half cast the first time he met her and he'd still think the same if he didn't know better.

He took in her features and felt a pang of longing,its been so long he couldn't believe he has ocha in his arms again,he suddenly felt a wave of emotions and tears sprang to his eyes

Dude pull yourself together and wake her he told himself,he laid her on the chair and sprinkled water on her face he tapped her face gentle and said ocha,Amanda,ocha ...wake up

Her eyes flew open and there was so much panic in them and she started to push out if his arms. He said ocha chill I won't harm you but she kept struggling till she sat up and she stared at him like she's seeing a ghost

Amanda POV

Omg!omg!omg! This is so not happening to me, Scott can't be pheonix bank manager he shouldn't even be in Nigeria talk less of Lagos he should be in new York,I know this cause his sister makes a point to tell me whenever I happen to run into her in enugu... Amanda says in her subconsciousness . I don't want to open my eye i want the ground to open and swallow me. What do I do? Should I act professional and act like I don't know him? Then what will be my reason for fainting? These thoughts keep running into my mind when I hear him call ocha,Amanda wake up...

My eyes flew open and I just stared at him and I could only think oh my oh my boy,he's so handsome... I really do not understand why I'm thinking this its so not important right now,he said ocha are you okay? And I said yes I'm good,he stood up and walk back to his seat I couldn't help but stare at him he's so tall and he has a swag to his walk he's not even walking like a bank manager. He sat down and kept staring at me then he finally said so ocha tell me what brings you to my office?

I wasn't expecting our convo to start this way so I just stared at him till I finally said umh..I...I..umh and he stared at me with his eyebrow raised and a smug look on his face,I got angry cause he was making me feel stupid,I looked at him pointedly and said I'm not ocha. My name is Amanda...chimamanda Macaulay,Miss Macaulay to you I said.

He looked amused and he said alright och... Sorry miss Macaulay how may I help you?

In so mad at him right now! The idiot is laughing at him,I composed myself and said Mrs fejiro Johnson asked me to see your concerning catering for your bank, I own a catering service and I would like the opportunity to supply lunch to your bank every day...

Really? he asked.

Really I replied and he smiled

OK come tomorrow with samples of meals you want to supply us with and from there we will move on, I knew he said something but at that point my ear decided to fail me omg what do I do now? I thought. He kept looking at me expectantly but what do I answer when I cant hear him?

Amanda? And was looking at me strangely...Amanda be bold being deaf is not the end of the world a voice kept saying. Then I said Mr folawiyo I have problems with my ear can you please write out your question somewhere..he looked at me strangely but complied and passed the paper to me,its said what do you mean? I looked at him and I said I'm partially deaf. He looked so shocked and he started shaking his head I was so surprised by his reaction he looked shaken by my revelation... Then he took the paper and started scribbling frantically and he passed it back to me

Are you sure? Hope you are not playing a cruel game on me? But you could hear me just fine a while ago?

I am partially deaf which means I hear but not clearly and some time my ears just simply fail to respond...he looked at me with so much sympathy and asked for how long? He was about the write in the paper again when I said I heard you,he looked up and said then answer....I took a long breath and said ten years and I felt the air in the room stand still.
