*Vex*

Waking up, I was surprised to find a hand in mine, a soft bed under me. Groaning, I opened my eyes to a smiling Noah. Smiling back, I squeezed his hand slightly, sitting up.

"Ugh, whatever he did to my head, damn-" I rubbed the back of my head which had been cleaned and bandaged up. Carefully though, I removed it, placing it on the bed side table as Noah chuckled.

"I'm pretty sure you're breaking a rule right now." Smiling at him, I shrugged, stretching out my back before slowly standing up on my own. There was still a dull throb in my head but other than that, I was fine. looking around, I noticed that this wasn't exactly a hospital room. Looking out the windows, I groaned at the sight of all the desks.

"So you guys haven't been interrogated yet I assume?" Noah shook his head.

"They wanted to wait until you woke up, they have some questions for you. And, um- you're moms here." Sighing, I turned to Noah, pursing my lips.

"God, I really don't want to talk to her right now." Noah chuckled, walking forward so that we were standing close together.

"Well, I don't think you'll be in trouble. We told the sheriff how we found you there, tied up and bleeding. He's just going to ask you what we were doing." Laughing a little, I smiled at Noah.

"So, he thinks I'm a snitch, huh?" Noah smiled, quickly kissing my cheek before grabbing my hand.

"Come on, we'll get you some ice before they start yelling and screaming." Closing my eyes and letting out a deep sigh, I nodded my head, letting him lead me out of the office.

"We're ready, can we just get her some ice?"Noah asked, looking up at the sheriff. Sheriff Hudson nodded, sending someone off to get ice as he lead us all into his office. I could see just how mad he was and how mad Emma's mom was as the both walked in, motioning us to take a seat on the chairs. Sitting next to Noah, I looked over to see both Audrey and Emma looking at me with a deep concern. Smiling softly at them, I nodded.  Just then, an officer came in, handing me the ice before quickly scrambling out the door.

"What were you thinking?" Emma's mom began softly, only for the volume to be raised higher by Sheriff Hudson.

"Yeah, what were you thinking? Every piece of evidence in that hospital is potentially inadmissible because of you!" He said, pointing at Noah, Audrey and Emma. He was leaving me out of it, but even then, I felt a little angry. If they hadn't been there, the cops may have not gotten to me in time.

"How did you know we were there?" Emma asked, sneaking a peek at me.

"Anonymous tip." Sheriff replied. I felt a few eyes on me. With a groan, I shook my head slightly.

"Sorry guys, I was tied up and knocked out." The Sheriff glared at me, shutting me up instantly.

"Someone saw you guys breaking in. We swept that place a week ago, looking for Tyler. There was nothing. So why were you there?" We all stayed silent for a moment, until Emma began to speak up.

"A package came to the house. The 1994 Lancers yearbook. He cut out people's faces, he wrote things."

"Oh, my god, Emma." Ms. Duval looked mortified as she scooted closer to her daughter.

"Why didn't you come straight here?" Hudson asked, leaning forward.

"Because the last time I came here, it didn't really end that well." Emma snapped, looking Sheriff Hudson straight in the eye.

"Hey, that's not fair." Ms. Duval said, squatting in front of Emma.

"Mom, none of this is fair." Emma replied, looking down at her mother who had tears in her eyes.
