HI

Every afternoon, Ye ‑jin would slip into the kitchen humming a lullaby that lights the entire Jeon Mansion. The soft melody of a simmering pot and the scent of freshly grated carrots drifting through the Jeon kitchen heralded a cherished ritual.

By the time Taehyung arrived, rubbing his belly with quiet longing as Ye‑jin emerged from the kitchen with a gentle smile.

The scent of carrot cake, his new craving, would swirl around the table, flanked by steaming mugs of Jeongguk's favorite ginger tea, warmed just how Jeongguk liked.

Taehyung loved drinking ginger tea these days, and can't go on without carrot cakes as if the baby is already taking their papa's side.

Taehyung's face would light up at the sight, his gratitude soft and genuine as he sank into the chair.

Ye-jin would warm his hands between hers and set a slice in front of him, smiling quietly as he broke off a piece, the sweetness bringing tears to his eyes.

It wasn't just the food, it was the gesture, the way she remembered every craving and fed him with such devotion.

Everytime Taehyung told her he's craving for something and Ye-jin would make it with her own hands making him emotional and remember his own mother.

Her eyes lit up when she saw Taehyung's grateful gaze.

"Eomma," he'd whisper, voice thick with gratitude.

"I thought you might like your hyungie's favorite tea."

"You're the best eomma."

Ye-jin ruffled his hair. "Baby is already on their papa's side." Ye-jin said brushing his hand with affection.

Taehyung would chuckle as he took a bite, warmth spreading through him. She'd laugh and gently tap his knee. Each afternoon became a quiet celebration, Taehyung teasing what craving might come next and Ye‑jin agreeing to whip it up with joy.

This gentle routine didn't just satisfy cravings; it wove them into daily closeness, laughter drifting across the kitchen, shared stories about Jeongguk's childhood, and simple gratitude spoken in gentle tones.

Over time their love grew, Ye ‑jin gently tapping his hand if he didn't slow down, and Jeongguk watching with silent pride, the love in his eyes deep enough to fill the room.

Their bond thawed by gentle questions, small kindnesses, and countless cups of tea, embodied the very best of familial love. Both felt how meaningful it is when a mother-in-law steps in as caregiver and nurturer, building trust on the warmth of daily care.

It had been nearly a month since Ye‑jin lovingly tended to Taehyung's cravings. Now, on a warm summer morning, the house hummed with habitual quietness, Ye‑jin humming near the window, Hyun‑bin flipping through papers, the kettle softly singing on the stove.

Taehyung, now 38 weeks pregnant, was curled up on the couch with a blanket draped across his lap. Yeontan sleeping next to him already protective of his younger sibling.

The television murmured quietly in the background, forgotten, as he gently rubbed his belly.

Their baby was active today, a soft kick reminding him that they were almost ready to meet the world.

Jeongguk had tried to stay home that morning, but an urgent board meeting had pulled him into the office.

"I'll be back by lunch," he'd said, kissing Taehyung's forehead and resting his palm on the baby bump with a loving smile. "Don't go anywhere alone, okay?"
