The floor was white, the seats were white, and the roses bloomed bright red. There was an elaborate glass chandelier, and tables of white silk. This was the perfect setting for a wedding to die for. And as Lua and gee fiancé Ladd took in the scene, she couldn't be happier.

Everything was perfect, it was absolutely beautiful. Ladd chuckled, pulling Lua tighter against his side as they strolled through the venue. "It's gorgeous ain't it doll face? Positively the best! I have the say Vinny went all out with this place, it looks amazing! And that team of decorators I kidnapped did a pretty snazzy job as well. It's a pity they didn't live to see their work finished."

Lua smiled slightly as Ladd babbled on. It was nice to hear him sounding like his old self, he just hadn't seemed the same since he got out of jail. Lua and the rest of the Russo family made sure to bail him out and payoff the detectives immediately, and Ladd seemed grateful. Lua was glad he was back, after all, when he was gone she felt empty.

What was the use of something fragile without someone to crush it? When Ladd came home she immediately accepted his sudden proposal. She assumed he wanted to marry her so she could never leave, but Lua hoped there was more than that underneath the surface.

Ladd turned to Lua, his eyes shining. "Baby are you listening?" She nodded. He smirked. "Good, now, the wedding is tomorrow, I suggest we both get some sleep and prepare. After all, it will be the best day of both of our lives."

There seemed to be some hidden meaning under that, but Lua decided to ignore it, instead she happily walked out of the room with Ladd, excited for the next day.

Her dress was perfect, there wasn't a hair out of place. Lua smoothed down her dress yet again as her heart beat wildly in her chest. It was almost time, she was about to marry the love of her life. It was happening, soon. She heard the beginning strings of classical music and began to walk down the aisle. She looked through the crowd to see members of several different mafia families and random civilians that wanted to see Ladd Russo get married.

As she neared the end of the aisle Lua looked up to see Ladd smiling lovingly at her. He held out a hand to help her step up to the alter, and began to stare into her eyes. Lua beamed at him. This was the greatest day of her life, well, it would be until her final day at least. The pastor cleared his throat and began to read.

"We gather here today-" Ladd stopped him. "Let's just get to the good part." Shocked, the man nodded. He was probably terrified of Ladd. "Do you Lua Klein, take Ladd Russo to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Lua spoke softly so only Ladd and the man could hear her. "I do."

"And do you, Ladd Russo, take Lua Klein as your lawfully wedded wife?"

Ladd smirked. "You bet."

"You may now kiss the bride."

With that Ladd swept Lua around, kissing her passionately. He suddenly stopped, and Lua confusedly stared at him. Ladd smiled wildly at her, pulling her to just behind the alter as he shoved the priest out of the way. Suddenly, in a flash, a group of men in white suits burst in.

They were members of Ladd's gang. They opened fired on the audience, killing everyone in a matter of minutes. In just a few mere minutes dozens of lives were reduced to nothing. The priest ran out, trying to escape, only to be shot. Ladd began to laugh as Lua stared with a blank face.

Ladd did like to be dramatic, this was normal for him. Lua turned to Ladd, her eyes shining. "What now?" Ladd smiled lovingly at her. "Lua baby, this was all for you! Understand! This was for your sake!" With that he pulled out a knife and stabbed her abdomen.

Lua keeled over, feeling the throbbing pain. She looked up to Ladd as he kneeled down to her level. "I told you you would be my greatest work. I can see the headlines now, the wedding massacre. And you baby, you will be the most beautiful corpse." Lua was growing weak but she smiled anyway.

The pain dulled as she got used to it. She smiled. This was what she had been waiting for, the chance to die by the hands of Ladd. Lua pulled Ladd to her, kissing him. "Thank you my love." She whispered.

The pain felt euphoric almost, like a warmth enveloping her. And for once Lua felt happy. And then there was black, and then nothing.

Ladd stood up, laying Lua against the alter. He thought to himself. He finally killed her, and honestly, even though r made her happy in the end, it seemed wrong. Ladd wanted to walk with someone, to have someone to talk to.

As he walked away from Lua's corpse he felt something for the first time in his life: loneliness and guilt. What have I done? Ladd pondered as he walked home. Did I make a mistake doing this? What's wrong with me, I don't need her. But as Ladd began to walk he felt a tear leak from his eye, and he began to sob for the first time in years.
