Chapter 20

Crystal's POV
I stare at Leigh as she runs away from me. I run back to the house to find Malak and give him a piece of my mind. I find him talking to some girl and I drag him outside without explanation.
"What're you do-" and that's when I slapped him.
"You IDIOT! Do you know what you just did? You kissed my right in front of my friend, your so called "girlfriend," and she ran off without letting me explain the problem and now she probably hates me and now she's going to make my life a living hell because of what YOU did!" I yell going off on him. "I can't believe you would be so inconsiderate! You would just kiss me like that and hurt her!"

My blood starts to boil and I walk away before I punch him right in his face. He grabs my arm.
"Let me go!" I scream and I swing my arm back and I backhand him in the face. Hard. He lets me go and I make a break for it. I don't look back. I hear my name being called but I keep going. Myles house was only a block away so I was in the clear. I run around the corner and I don't stop. I ignore the burning in my throat, lungs, and legs.

I make it to Myles' and I start banging on the door. The door opens but nobody's there. I wasn't with that mess so I turn around to start running again and someone grabs my shirt and drags me into the house. I get punched in the face, get thrown onto the floor, and get kicked in my side. I look up to see a red faced Myles.
"Leigh told me what you did," he said and grabs my shirt with both hands and lifts me up off the floor.
"Let me explain," I say.
"What's there to explain? You cheated on me!" Myles yells.
"I didn't cheat on you. If you would listen to me for like five minutes..." and then both his hands are around my neck and he's choking me.

Tori and Matt walk in at that moment.
"Let her go!" Matt yells and punches him. He lets go of me and I fall to the floor. I start coughing like crazy trying to catch my breath. Myles gets up and tackles Matt and they start fighting. Tori helps me up and and carries me the couch. Then she pulls Matt off Myles and Myles comes at him again. Tori falls to the floor with Myles and Matt right next to her brawling. She helps me out the house and we sit on the grass.
"What happened?" Tori asked me.

I explained how Malak had dragged me into a bedroom and he tried to hook up with me. Heaven knows why. He knew what he was doing clearly. Then, Leigh walked in the moment he kissed me and she ran out.
"I didn't kiss him back. I pushed him off me and I ran after Leigh. I ended up back handing him but I kept running and I ran here," I said at the end.

Myles came running out the house running towards me and Kalin holds him back. Tori stands in front of me blocking his way. Tori explained to Myles what happened and he calms down. Matt comes out a few minutes after that. He sits by me and he looks relieved that I'm okay. Tori and Matt help me up and carry me to the car. Myles stands there with hurt written all over his face. I lay in the back sit and I fall asleep the moment I'm in the car.

Myles' POV
What have I done? I hurt Crystal all because of what Leigh told me. I fall to my knees and stare as Tori, Matt, and Crystal drive off into the distance.
"She's gone," I say lost in thought. Kalin sits down on the grass and snaps me back into reality.
"It's alright, man. It was just a misunderstanding," he tells me.
"I didn't even listen to her. My emotions got the best of me," I reply. "I gotta go talk to her!"
I sprint down the street not stopping for anything.

I finally make it to her house and climb through her opened window. She's laying on her back with an ice pack in her side and on her face. She sees me and gasps. Unable to move she tries to scream and I cover her mouth.
"Shh!" I tell her. She obeys. "I'm so sorry! I should've listened to you. You have every right to hate me right now. I'm sorry I punched and kicked you. I'm sorry I choked you and put your life at risk. Please forgive me!"

I felt like a fool. I get up to go climb through the window back outside.
"Wait!" Crystal croaks. I turn around. Still laying down she looks at me. "Can you stay here tonight?"
I smile and close the window.
"Sure."

"Can you lock the door?" she asks me.
I lock the door.
"Can you stay quiet?" she almost whispers. I walk over to her. I remove her ice packs and I look into her eyes.
"You're so beautiful," I whisper and she smiles at me. I sit on her and take off her glasses. I turn off the lights and kiss her softly. This was going to be a long night.
