Behind Closed Doors

Chapter 10

     Today is Bella's birthday! She is now 17 and actually is excited for her birthday for the first time. Since she is homeschooled now, Tiffany and Asia surprised her after school with gifts and balloons, Bella almost cried. Chris told her since her birthday is right before Valentine's Day, he'll wait to get her something then and Bella was fine with that. Chris told her to go ahead and start looking for something she wanted and send him the link to it.
     When Bella was on Instagram she got bored and started to look on Chris page. As she was scrolling she a girl commenting things like "mine forever" and "can't have him". She got a little suspicious and went to follow her Instagram. Bella sits on her bed and waits for her to except her request. She's hoping not to find anything.
     The girl finally excepted her request and Bella started to scroll on her page. This night .... Bella was never the same again. She has never felt pain like this before. The comments she read from Chris were "this all me" "woman crush everyday" "damn". Bella also him putting heart eyes, hearts, and rings.
     That's not even what broke Bella the most. As Bella kept scrolling, she saw pictures of them together on homecoming. Bella remembered Chris telling her he didn't want to go to homecoming at first but then he changed his mind last minute. He also told her since he decided to go, he didn't want her to have a date and she didn't. Bella couldn't do anything but sit there and cry.
     She didn't want to go to her best friends because she didn't want to hear "I told you so". Bella was beyond broken, she could not believe her eyes. She told Chris what she saw and he tried to make her feel crazy. "Lol I don't know what you're talking about. You gotta go".
     Bella couldn't believe he was willing to let go of their 2 year relationship for somebody he just started dating months ago. Bella couldn't do anything but lay down and cry herself to sleep. She cried so much her eyes were puffy and red. All Bella needed was some rest and had to sleep it off. Everything was too overwhelming for her at once.
     The next day everything just got worse. Everyone at Chris school who knew Bella found out about it. People kept texting her phone asking what happened so she told them. Bella couldn't tell anyone what happened without breaking down. Everyone kept telling Bella they don't know why she let Chris play her, she looks better than his other girlfriend.
     They wasn't just saying that either, they were being honest but Bella wasn't trying to hear anything anyone had to say. She was so heartbroken she had to turn her phone off for awhile and try to get through her school work without thinking about it. Even though Chris cheated he was acting like Bella did it and was mad at her. "Give me everything I got you and put it in a trash bag so I can come pick it up" said Chris. That really hurt Bella but she didn't let him know that, she just said "ok".
